Spinoff from Fake FP thread... Ebay tickets...

There is a flaw with the finger scanner at WDW: you don't have to scan the same finger each day. I had issues a couple of times, and the CM just had me scan different fingers until the light turned green. If no two fingerprints are the same, then doesn't that say that no two of MY fingerprints are the same? I don't understand how you can scan your index finger on day 1, and your thumb on day 2.... and still get a green light each time?

I will also add that while we were at EP one day eating at the CS in Mexico, we overheard one of these Ebay "Fastpass Services" apologizing to a family for a transaction gone bad. DH and I were straining to overhear what they were saying, but it started to rain and the pavilion we were in became very crowded and loud.

But it sounded like it was the family's first day there, and their flight was late coming in so they were late getting to the park and the "service" went ahead and gave out their FPs to another paying customer. I wish we could have heard more...and I wish I would have had the guts to say something directly to both the family and the "service" about how wrong they were for trying such a scheme.

Ok I had no idea they did that. It seems like a huge expense, but then I realize..it's Disney LOL. It's a good idea, but I can see the flaws like Skiing mentioned. If something like that happens would they trust an ID? Or are you screwed?

The CMs have a lot of latitude in deciding whether you're legit or trying to get away with something.

When we went to WDW 3 years ago, I got tickets for 4 adults & 1 child. I was the FP runner, so I just kept the tickets except when entering the parks. Some days, at park entry, everyone grabbed a ticket from me and went to separate gates. I can recall failing the finger scan and getting questioned by the CM. I yelled out to the next gate "Hold on, guys, we got the tickets mixed up!" The CM immediately deduced what was happening, and just waved me through. The CMs at the other gates then passed the rest of my party through too.

They aren't actually taking your fingerprints. They are doing a biometric scan which relates more to the shape of your body. All your fingers should have enough of the same biometric traits to match.

That makes more sense! Thanks for clearing that up for me!! But I do have to agree with this:

Whoa, that sounds dangerous to me. As much food as they have at Disney Parks your body shape could change after 3 or 4 days.:rotfl:

:lmao:

So very true.
