Spin-off/ What type of higher education did you receive?

Me: flagship state school for undergrad and graduate school.

Husband: state school for undergrad.

DD1: same state school as my husband for undergrad and grad school. She's graduating with her masters degree in May.

DD2: she's only in 5th grade!

DH and I met at a state university where we both graduated with bachelor degrees. He went on to pass all actuarial exams, becomming a fellow, while we were raising our babies. I never worked in my field and have mostly been a SAHM.

DS 21 is at a CC and about to get his associates degree. Twin DDs are at a private university.

BS from a small private university
major - mathematics
minor - English

DH - same place, BS in biology
DS - still in high school & hasn't decided yet where he wants to go

Public liberal arts degree. Public law degree. Retired as a VP of a major fortune 500 corporation. Guess all that liberal arts and public education worked ok for me.

Learned stickball as a formal education
Lost a lot of fights
But it taught me how to lose O.K.
Oh, I heard about sex
But not enough
I found you could dance
And still look tough anyway
Oh yes I did

I attended community college— AAS in Business Technology and an AAS in Accounting Technology. Figured out I detest any part of taxes. But by the time I had those classes I was too far in to quit.

I am now employed by the same cc.

Dd will graduate in May with her AA. She is going to be a personal trainer with certification in nutrition along with different aspects of personal training. She is working on part of it now and will finish all certifications in a few months. After she works in the field for a bit, she plans to go back and get her BS in exercise science.

Dh never attended. Both sons attended cc. 1 has a tech certificate in brick laying but never used it. The other didn’t finish.

Public state flagship type undergrad and MBA. Didn't try to get in anywhere else. Regret it.

Private university for undergrad
Public non-flagship state school for DH's undergrad.
As he likes to point out, we had the same major and met when we shared a cubicle at exactly the same job right out of college.... and he had a lot less debt than me. (But my school has a way better football team, so I like to think it's all worth it ;-)

Both of us wen to (different) private universities from Masters degrees, both paid for by our employers.

BA from state school
Teacher certification from a private university
MS from a public university

DH did his BA and first MA from a private university; second masters from a public

Both children attend private universities

After I graduated high school, a long time ago, I joined the Air Force, and after basic I went through Tech School for my career field.
A couple of years ago, well after military retirement, I decided to go to college. I received my BAS at the end of the year, and I am now working on my Master's.
