spill your celeb secrets

I have played rugby against Dean Richards :)

Used to see Bill Maynard quite often in the centre of the next village too.

My wife used to live near Norman Dagley (was World Billiards Champion) and used to help clean his coach (he was a bus driver for a while) :)

I am a TV and Movie Memorabilia dealer and have met hundreds of celebrities at various conventions and at movie studios.

A memorable encounter was with one time James Bond actor George Lazenby. He sat at the next table to me in the restaurant at the Ramada Jarvis in Birmingham and we chatted and spent the rest of the evening in the bar and became good friends - during the early hours of the morning the fire alarms went off and everyone congregated outside - i saw George and went up to him and said "I bet this didn't happen to the other feller!" echoing his famous line from On Her Majesty's Secret Service. He fell about laughing and before he left the following day we exchanged phone numbers - he called me earlier this year and we met up again with his lovely wife, tennis player Pam Shriver and I have an invite to his home in America anytime I'm out there.

Other Bond actors I've met are Roger Moore ( a real gentleman), Britt Ekland,
Maud Adams, Lois Chiles, Richard Kiel, Eunice Gayson and Shirley Eaton.

I must disagree with the girls on Buffy - MichelleTrachtenberg is far nicer!

Others who have been really nice are: David Carradine, Larry Hagman, Lucy Lawless, Renee O'Connor, Hudson Leick, Boycie and Marlene from ONLY FOOLS and a special mention to Johnny Depp who went out of his way to furnish me with lots of signed photographs. Ex-Chelsea players Kerry Dixon and David Speedie are also high up on my list of pleasent celebrities.

Top of my list of people I would like to meet is Jessica Alba - simply stunning!!

We shared a Virgin flight to WDW with Adam Woodyatt (AKA Ian Beale) back in August last year from Manchester (we bumped into him first shopping in Claires accessories with his wife and kids) would like to say we spent many happy hours chatting with him on the flight over there but he got whisked away to first class while we spent the flight sat at the back of the plane near the toilets :rotfl:

Bev's nice isn't she?

The Woodyat's are neighbours of mine

Greetings from the state :wave2: ..... I boarded Simon Pegg on a flight a little over a year ago. He was in the States promoting Shaun of the Dead. He was rather suprised to get recognized here, I told him I was (am) a huge fan of Spaced.

i nearly ran Nick Hancock over with my pushchair in town a couple of months ago.....it was his fault he decided to change the direction he was walking in and walked in front of me!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I don't know these celebs personally but they come into Mothercare where i have just finished working recently.
Kerry Katona still pops in every now and then, If shes with friends then she bloody awful, but if shes on her own then shes friendly. Jez Quigly (Lee Boardman) and Geena (Jenny James) from Corrie are alway coming in with their little boy, They also take him too giggles every week.(giggles is like a jungle gym) Both of them are very friendly. The younger jackie dixon (Corkhill)? from Brookside visits the store. OB from Hollyoaks has been in with his sister.
Shaun Right Phillips came in when he played for Man City. (i didn't have a clue who he was! :) Sebastien Chabal the French International Rugby player and also plays for Sale sharks comes in quite often too with his wife and little girl.
The ex Man u Keeper Roy Carol came in and when i serverd him i didnt know who he was at first, He handed his card over and i thought god this man has got huge hands, I looked at the name on the card and then it clicked who he was. :teeth:

Jonny Ball came to my high school for activitys week out in Germany, I signed up for one of is classes but didn't have a clue what he was going on about.

Thats it for now :)

I have met quite a few celebs through my line of work, but tend to not think of them as celebs but more colleagues.

Outside of work, I have met Buffy Cast, and crew at a convention in LA.

Early last year Luke Perry literally bumped into me in a cafe Nero in covent garden. Spilt his coffee on me, so he paid for mine. I was not at all impressed as it was a white jumper and I had an important meeting that day.

I sat next to (ok he was in my row) Richard Branson on a Qantas plane between Melbourne and Singapore in May '03.

I also go to a pub that Natalie Imbruglia and daniel Johns (from silverchair) drink at. Apparently other famous people drink there but I have never seen them.

After mentioning her name earlier, We saw Kerry Katona today. DH and myself popped into currys as we had some vouchers to be spent in there, I was stood in a que for something and DH came upto me and she had just walked in. She then came and stood right next to us, She was buying a phone, Digital camera and printer (at the top of her voice she asked for the best ones) And a case for the camera. Shes very loud and likes to be noticed. She was driving dh mad, he wanted to hit her with his crutch :) (he doesn't care much for celebs like Kerry)

And then they complain when they get bad press - I don't like loud people either, thankfully my closest celeb (cousin Phil Collins) is publicity shy.

Well, I have a few name drops to add to the list:

I once had a conversation with DLT about orgasms in a newsagent I used to work in.

I worked in an off-licence for a while and Jimmy Saville came in. He came up to the counter with his big fat cigar (yeuchhh) and said 'Now then, now then' I nearly wee-ed myself laughing :rotfl:

I once had a one-night fling with a famous person (a lot older than me). I would rather not name him as it's not something to be proud of

I have been in a film with Lenny Henry, who was extremely funny, and John Sessions, who got very drunk and after filming was over he got in my car and insisted I drive him to London :rotfl2:

I am also related to an infamous 60s/70s pop star but, again, it's too embarrassing to admit who he is

My uncle used to fix Noel Edmond's TV and once got bit by one of his dogs
