spill your celeb secrets

Hi sorry I am not with it I have been working to many 13 hour shifts.

My daughter goes to a local school in Rainham, Kent. Nicky Southall used to play for Gillinham FC when he was playing for GFC he enroled his children to my daughters school.

Last season I think he moved to Nott Forest. His wife and kids stayed here, while they found a house they liked. Before I went away Nickys wife told me they found a house and are moving away somewhere closer to Nott Forest club. They are moving this month.

I think I have explained it this time. I am so tired. Please ignore all my spelling and grammar probs.

Moral of the story my daughter was in the same class as Nicky Southalls daughter who now plays for Nottingham Forest. Was origanally recognised from Bolton FC.

Hi Angel

You lost me a bit there, your daughter is in class (at school I am assuming) with someone who plays for Notts Forest?

How?

Steve

As a Forest supporter ( :confused3 ), let me say Steve that you have committed a big faux-pas there.....

It is NOTTINGHAM Forest and NOTTS County please.

Or (as Trevor Broking used to say) Notinhum Forest.....

two points, I see now Angel, you put "In class with Nicky Southall" rather than "In class with Nicky Southall's daughter"

Any way, thanks for clearing my head on that one.

On the Notts County/Forest issue, I know I have been typing all day and it saved me a few keypresses. Which has now been wasted by the fact I am typing this.

I am not a Forest fan, but I do remeber watching them in the heady days of European glory and it is criminal how they have slipped away.

I am a Liverpool fan and went to the European games between the 2 sides in round 1 back in early 80's when forest knocked us out over the 2 games.

What a team they had then

cheers

Steve

Good comments Steve - that was a mighty team, but most of them are now local radio pundits at best! Of course old big 'ed Mr Clough is much missed in these parts these last few years - he no doubt turns in his grave at the poor footy they play nowadays. In memorium, I make a point of cycling past his house once or twice a summer ::MickeyMo

Not sure how much of a claim to fame this is, but I met Princess Anne once. She opened our new building at work two years ago and she was given a tour of the office and spent a few moments chatting to five of us who had been strategicaly placed, LOL

met kerry katona at dlrp a couple of years ago, i didnt see her at first buy chris saw her err assets first lol then told me there the bird who just won in the jungle,

anyhow had my pic with her and she is tiny really tiny but a lovely girl

Sorry Guys I don't know anybody famous. I do see Nigel Clough from time to time around Derby following from Tim's comments about Forest. Did Cloughie have a house around Leicester way as well? I know that he moved from Quarndon to Darley Abbey (both in Derby) and was living there with his wife when he died.
Must say I was a tad disappointed with the 'Brian Clough Way' signs on the A52 between Derby and Nottingham, a bit on the small side.
Anyway I am a Derby fan but wouldn't call any of their players famous really - just pretty pap at the moment :rotfl:

Yep Clare, BC lived in Quarndon on the hill overlooking the A6 Matlock Road for many years - I cycle a long way you see! When he moved, he was a bit nearer to Loughborough.

Funny how his heart stayed in Derby after he left the Baseball Ground.

To be honest, I hadn't spotted the signs on the A52 yet ::MickeyMo

I know something about a well know comedian from ITV. The only thing is that there is no way I could repeat it online.

Also my grandad was good friends with the groundsman at the Liverpool training ground Melwood when I was a kid. I met em all Shankly, Paisley, Dalglish, sometimes we took disabled children there due to our connections. I was there on the first training session for Graeme Souness when he joined as a player. What childhood memories.

Hmm lucky when I lived in west end of Glasgow to see a few celebs. Some very nice.
Kirsty Walk was my next door neighbour when I lived off Byres Rd.

Robbie Coltrane, Paul Buchanan (Blue Nile Band), Ricky Ross (Deacon Blue), Elizabeth Fraser (Cocteau Twins) all used to drink in my local along with just about everyone from BBC TV and Radio Scotland :drinking1

Up in the North East no such luck - plenty of seals, dolphins etc

Hee, you've all met some impressive people! ;)

I have met several of the cast of Buffy the Vampire Slayer at conventions, but I don't know if anyone on this board would appreciate it?! Any other Buffy fans on here?! Anyway they include James Marsters (Spike) and Anthony Stewart Head (Giles)! :lovestruc I actually literally bumped into Mr Head on the way to the lifts at the hotel where the convention was, and until I realised who it was I was really annoyed with him for being so rude! :rotfl:

I agree  And yes he is just as yummy in real life! James Marsters, that is, not Worzel Gummidge. :teeth: In fact, here we are at a convention in 2002!

Oh Emma

My daughter Vicki will be sick with jealousy when I show her this tomorrow, shes a real big buffy fan,and she will just love that photo. :goodvibes

Well my claim to fame is a bit poor compared to all of yours, but I know Maureen from Driving School, really really well, she lives around the corner :rotfl: and I also know Charlotte Church just enough to say hello to, and of course Ive worked with Billie Piper and Christopher Eccleston ;) well for 20 seconds.

My mother used to work with Shirley Bassey, way before she was famous.

Gosh.. ive met more famous people than I care to remember. OOh and i could tell you some stories about a few of them (but I wouldnt do that because I am a good girl!)
I used to be an agent...so I have met hundreds of celebs!!

One day we were organising a party at The Ivy Restaurant in london.. it was a suprise party for my boss.. and it had to be organised out of work hours. I was staying with my boyfriend one weekend, and I had given his telephone number out to many people to call me and let me know if they could make the party.

After about the 10th telephone call over the weekend, with him handing the phone over and saying(this was at least 12 years ago) "ruth madoc is on the phone", "Dave Allen is on the phone", Victoria Wood is on the phone" "Mike Reid is on the phone" "Andrew Sachs is on the phone" etc etc he got REALLY cross and shouted at me (in all seriousness!"...)

"Will you STOP giving my telephone number out to celebrities"..
I fell about laughing!!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I have a couple of online friends who are increasingly famous actors (they weren't famous when I first got to know them about six years ago!), but they're quite secretive about their personal lives these days (due to many complicated reasons) so I'd better not say who they are. If one of their fans did a search for their names and came across this post, I'd probably be hounded for information!

As for other celebrities, hmm, the most famous person I've met is Gillian Anderson :lovestruc, although I've also met Zoe Ball and various other people from BBC children's television in the 1990s...!
