I thought I would do a real life update....I hope you don't mind! As you know Jasmine turned 18 on October 30 and 18 is the legal drinking age here so she would be clubbing it with her friends on this fine evening. I insisted a few of her close friends go for dinner at our local steakhouse first and I thought I would share some pictures with you!

Me and Carrie-Lynn....Carrie-Lynn would be keeping an eye on them all at the club....she is such a sweetie, but at the last minute she decided she wanted me to drop them all off because she felt she might want to have a couple of drinks....so drop them off is what I would do....we've had a few very tragic accidents in the last 2 weeks where far too many young people have been killed....I'll pick them up whenever wherever they are!

The waiter brought her out Billy Miner Pie....it's oreo cookie crust, mocha ice cream with toasted almonds and caramel and hot fudge...it's heavenly!

Two of my closest friends....Diane and I met in 1988 when we both joined the bank...and have been together ever since. Her hubby Dave insisted since they were there when Jasmine was born, that he needed to be there to buy her first drink....love them

The waiter then brought this out....in the middle of this concoction is a shot of Bailey's.....

Jasmine isn't exactly a drinker...she just couldn't bring herself to have this shot

Carrie-Lynn decided to buy her one she thought she could do....nope, Carrie-Lynn had to drink it....guess I don't have to worry that she'll come home drunk this evening

We settled up the bill and headed back to our place so the kids could get into their costumes and hit the club. This is Jasmine and her friend Jaryd...he literally put this costume together in 5 minutes....oh to be that talented. Jasmine's "gypsy" costume will double as a Pirate costume for the cruise in February for Pirates in the Caribbean Night.

All set and ready to go...... Unfortunately this is all the pictures I have...Carrie took some at the club and they had a fabulous evening...I picked them up at 1am and we headed back to our place for the girls to have a sleepover! They had a great time and they were all very well behaved. I was kept in the loop all night as to how the evening was going...by who you ask.....Jasmine's new boyfriend! Yes....Jasmine has a new boyfriend and I must say we are quite fond of him! He treats her wonderfully....what more can a mother ask? They have been working together since March and I guess one thing led to another and now they're now dating......

They decided on Saturday that it was time to put up the Christmas trees....Saturday they would do ours and Sunday they would go to Jeff's and put there's up!

Yup...that's the goofy side of my girl coming out...she really does make us laugh!

I insisted on at least one nice shot.....

I'm not really sure what she was doing in this one...being goofy again...

Then for some unknown reason...she thought she was one of Charlie's Angels....that poor boy doesn't know what he's in for.....

The plans for the trip are going... I just added my nephew to the trip and he's as much of a Disney lover as we are. Even more so than my DS... But I think that's only because we go so often and my DN's first trip was with us last April. He definitely caught the bug though! And he has no idea he's coming with us! I can't wait to see his face when I go to pick him up for the trip!He's going to be ecstatic which isn't a reaction I get from my 12 year old anymore.

I keep going back and forth with myself about which dining plan to use and even thought about switching resorts. I have a few breakfast ADRs booked but I'm thinking of paying oop for them and going with QSDP because the trip is only 7 days and don't want to plan around meals for this one. And now I'm thinking of switching to the Poly because we'd be guaranteed to get a room with a daybed, I guess not all the rooms at the Boardwalk have them. So just a few things to think about. I love planning though so I don't mind that it's not quite done yet!

Jasmine just looks so beautiful & I like how she did the braid in her hair. I'm going to have to try to figure that out to do in Lexi's hair!

I was looking at Jasmine's in her gypsy outfit & was going to post that there was no way she would stay single for long looking at great as she does & then the next post read about her new boyfriend! Good thing for you she had a bf with her at the club or she would've been drunk with guys buying her drinks all night!

Matt is a VERY handsome guy & they look like they make a great, fun couple in the pictures.

It's funny to read that the drinking age is still 18. I was in the 9th grade when they moved the drinking age from 18 to 21 and that was 25 years ago!
It seems strange now to think there were students in high school that could buy alcohol & I think that's why they moved up the age limit.

I love the life update!! Those drinks looked really good! I remember how excited my brother was when we went to Canada n. falls, when he was 18 and could drink there. I'm glad to hear she had a safe night and you guys are doing well in the real world!!

Jasmine thinks he's quite something too I did laugh out loud when I read about your son's 21st....that's more the norm I think....the bartender at the club apparently told Jasmine she was the worst case he had ever seen

How exciting that you're taking DN....and the fact that it's a surprise.....LOVE IT!!! Nothing better than the look on their faces when they realize where they're going

I hear ya on the ADR's ... they most certainly do take a lot of your time don't they? Switching to the Poly....I'm just a little envious Planning is what keeps us going isn't it....keep me posted on all your decisions...can't wait to hear how it's all going to come together!

Funny you should ask....Jasmine asked him that on their second date He has only been to Disneyland and he loved it.....looks like he passed the most important test for us Disers

Jasmine's hairdresser taught her to do the braid....she said it's easy once you get the hang of looking in the mirror to do it

I am so happy that since her birthday they haven't gone to the clubs at all I just don't think it's either of their "thing"...Jasmine is definitely not a drinker and has little patience for stupid drunk people...her words not mine

I have a bit of a Christmas fettish...I love everything Christmas and as soon as I can find the time, our tree is up!! What a keen eye you have my friend....Disney and Barbie...that's the extent of our tree

With the price they pay for those costumes I'm thrilled she'll get a couple of uses out of it Her grandpa and grandma want to meet him so they're all going out for coffee next week....Jeff is actually excited about it

Those drinks were yummy, I don't think I could do an all - inclusive resort....I would only drink pina colada's all day

She really is happy! Debbie I do have a problem....I was actually late getting my tree up this year....I usually put it up the first weekend in November

He was asking Jasmine how much bigger WDW is to Disneyland...you could see the joy in her eyes that he was actually interested!

This day we would be heading to Animal Kingdom, but not before we headed to the food court to grab some breakfast. I decided I would take some pictures along the way

This is in front of our building....it was special for us to stay in this building as this was the same building we stayed at on our very first visit in 1998!

A different view, but same building. That little area with the fountain and the benches is surrounded by beautiful rose bushes....it's gorgeous at night to just grab a coffee and sit there.....

We stayed at this building in 2004 when we surprised Jasmine in 2004 for her birthday!

Laundry facilities by the guitar pool....never used this particular one, but have used the one by the piano pool many times!

Turned around to get this shot of these guys....I guess they turn the water on when the pool actually opens. As you can see the humidity was quite high ... most of our early morning pics are like this

Singing Spirits bar....I did enjoy a few cocktails from here on this trip...Jasmine has her lava smoothie here everyday

Garbage can....I know....it's a sickness to take pics of everything
