What kind of seats are on the spiderman ride? Do they actually move or is it a virtual/visual. Is it similar to Soarin'? Are your feet on or off the ground? Trying to decide if I will go on it - I went on Soarin twice - had to close my eyes for few parts the first time and second (last) time I had eyes closed literally the entire time. Never tried again. Not really a motion sickness issue -- more a feeling of terror related to fear of heights. I have heard the end of spidey might be tough for me.

If the end is a problem, just close your eyes, you'll be fine. I do that about 50% of the time :lmao:, sometimes I'm in the mood for that final drop, sometimes after a lunch or something, not.

It is a car, stays on the ground, some very limited spinning, moves slow, it interacts with large 3-D video screens and interjects live movie sets and things with the screens, in a really seamless very cool way. The last part as you mentioned you look at a video screen and it looks like you and spidey climb way up high on a skyscraper then you fall and spidey catches you at the last minute (hope I"m not spoiling) so its very cool, your car does move slightly to help simulate the fall, but you are never that far off the ground in your car.

The cars are kind of like a real car in a way, no top, they are specially designed, so they are not a "real car" but that is basically what they are, slow moving vehicle/car. THey are cool, this ride is phenomenal and not to be missed IMO, some believe its the best theme park ride in the world and I would put it in my top 5 for sure.

One thing that makes it differrent from Soarin' is that you need 3D glasses for the effect to really "work". If it gets to be too much you can take the glasses off and see how falling off the building works.

Unlike Soarin' your car never leaves the ground. You are enclosed in the car. Hope you try it - amazing ride!! :thumbsup2

You should check YouTube for ride videos so you can get an idea of the attraction.

When I was there this past Sept I was staying onsite so got front of the line pass. I loved Spiderman, so rode it like five times in a row. About the third time I got off, the CM laughed and said 'You must like this ride. Do you know how far off the ground it actually goes?' When I said no, he pointed to just below his waist and said 'The car never actually gets above this high. Ride it again and see if you can figure out how it works.':rotfl:

It made me really queasy. Closing my eyes didn't help (or perhaps by the time I closed my eyes it was too late).
