And guess what? The top 1/3 of the castle is uncovered. It looks awesome so far. There is a slight irridecense (sp?) to the pink paint that looks really pretty. The blue roof tiles are much brighter and the gold paint gleams. I can't wait to see the finished product.

Also, I finally tried Whitewater Snacks for lunch today. I had the charbroiled chicken sandwich--it was yummy. The chicken breast was huge, it had really juicy, ripe tomato slices, guacamole, a mild green chili, and the bun was superior to the ones in the parks. Plus the fries were very crispy (unlike the ones inside DL). To top it off, they put two sweet, ripe stawberries in the basket.

It sounds awesome! You're lucky to be living so close to DL and DCA, and we're lucky to have an expert like you to answer all of our questions about the parks! How crowded was it today at DL? By the way, thanks for answering my question today. I wrote you back under my thread, but to answer your question, we'll be in DL and DCA November 14 - 19.

Glad you had such a great time!

Doesn't the castle look pretty!!! Can't wait to see it all "unwrapped"!!

Isn't Whitewater great?? We LOVE it there! And, right outside whitewater you can order drinks from the pool bar! We did that when I was there in Aug. Fruity concotions, that were good AND less $$ than Uva Bar! :teeth: ::yes::

I thought the crowds at DL were fairly good sized but the lines probably weren't that long. Jungle Cruise showed a 15 minute wait, yet the line was out the door--either it was much longer than the sign said, or they needed to reroute people through the queu. Fantasyland had some waits, but even those weren't as bad as sometimes. I know the rain we had last weekend and during the week and yesterday being so nice probably brought out some extra people. At DCA, I only rode TOT, so I don't know about the rest of the park.

We just flew home after a week long stay at Disneyland. I was so excited to see the top of the castle too. It looks beautiful! We are going back this summer. I can't wait.

Thanks for the info! but I have to ask, where is Whitewater Snacks? It sounds great, sorry for the silly question.

It's inside the Grand Californian Hotel, near the pool. If you go through the GC entrance at DCA and turn left at the end of that little corridor, you can't miss it. I never knew about it before this board, but I will be going back. The quality of my meal was better than anything I've had from the quick service places in the parks for about the same price.
