Spending too much time here?

I am beginning to think that I have been spending too much time on these boards. I usually spend more time as a trip approaches and we are off to OKW in 8 + days.
Very late last night I was 'cruising the boards for more cruise info (we are booked on the Sept. 11, 2004 7 day Magic) Then off to bed.
That is where this gets weird. I had the weirdest dream all about my Sept. cruise. We flew in the night before the cruise and drove to the pier. We had been told that there was a new schedule and we could not board until 2:00 PM so we timed it to arrive about 2:00. (My Mom (age 78) who is going with us has a senior compulsion to be 'on time' which in her mind is at least an hour early. and in my dream was fussing that we would be late.) I of course assured her that the ship would not be sailing until 5:00!
As we got to the terminal the Magic was already pulling out in to the channel.
There we were left outside the terminal as the ship sailed away at 2:15! Oh my did I catch flack. My Mom was saying 'I told you so' and my friend was nearly in tears. As I looked around there were many others left standing on shore with us. Somehow DCL managed to get us all on board the ship. (The particulars are never very clear in dreams.)
Then once on board we had to go throught the lifeboat/safety drill because we were late. We couldn't find our life jackets at first but someone gave us some as we showed up for the drill. Then as the drill progressed (our 'station' was inside) I was eager to take pictures and managed to get to a window as the Wonder sailed by. Our entire group left the drill to stand on deck and wave to the Wonder in unison and in time to a song from and old John Wayne movie. (Don't ask) At that point the dream ended.
LOL
Now for my question Am I spending too much time on these boards? Is my subconcious being brain washed? Or am I just so tired that I really need this vacation?::yes:: :wave2:

All of the above!
If it is any consolation - I feel the same way!
I am beginning to dream about these boards and my cruise is not until July! My kids are asking for their meals and I'm yelling "one more minute". I'm afraid when I go back to work on Monday (we were off from school this week) I will go through withdrawal!
Do I need help?

I'm with you guys! I even read a thread last week about cruise dreams and laughed, until I had one a couple nights ago. Yikes! And my poor kids with just one more minute.................

Absolutely not.
Is my subconcious being brain washed?
Absolutely not.
Absolutely not.
Absolutely not.
(hehe)
Or am I just so tired that I really need this vacation?
This might be your answer.... :)

Well, maybe it's you and me both! We were on the 2/7 Magic....got home one week ago. Every night since, I have dreamed that I was on the Magic! Mind you, that was trip number 10 on the Magic, and 11 is booked....I think I'm addicted.

:sunny: Nah! I go through withdrawals if I don’t go on the boards! Think of it this way it is a way to relax and talk about Disney!!

DH was teasing me tonight and said, 'you have two worlds, sweets, and the DIS boards.'

(A neighbor brought over some cinnamon rolls this afternoon and I got too territorial w/them.):hyper:

My dreams were also after we returned home. I have had quite a few cruise dreams, but in one funny one for some reason we were not going to cruise on the Magic we were just on to eat lunch before it sailed away. We would have to get off once we finished lunch. Well there was some emergency and they had to take off right away so we started to sail off to sea. We freaked out and went to guest services and they told us we could stay on for free for the next seven days of course we would have to buy all new clothes on board, etc.. but I was ecstatic - then I woke up! I don't know how I even come up with some of these dreams?!

I actually spent more time on these cruise boards when I was in the planning stages then I do now that I'm less than one month away! :upsidedow

I am checking in often to see if there is any new news ect. but there really isn't any planning left to do. You may find yourself spending alittle less time once your plans are in order. Than again.....maybe not!:happy1:

Add me to the club of those who have frequent DCL dreams. Last night I had one where we brought some friends with us who had never been so I spent alot of time showing them around when we first got on the ship. Well, It was 2:25 before I realized we hadn't made Palo ressies yet. Needless to say I woke up in a cold sweat. I had to keep reminding myself it was only a dream to calm myself down so I could go back to sleep! :(

My husband used to be a chat room board moderator at AOL.
So he has a BIG problem with the amount of time some people spend on this board. Too many responses he says.
Some husband or wife will sue this board someday for not moderating the number of posts some people make he says.
Don't know if they can or not. I still like reading and responding to the questions when I can help out. I am sure there are some addicted people here also though

I believe ONE of the reasons that I must always have a cruise booked and counting down to is so that I have an excuse to visit the Boards daily. After 6 voyages, I can probably answer most questions asked by newcomers. It doesn't stop me from browsing and chatting.

Enjoy,
Dawn Hope
Disembarked 8 days ago, going again in 321 days (maybe sooner on a 4 day to hold us over).

NancyDVC - I hope I was not sitting there with you at the port! We are cruising with you on the 9/11 Western, and I plan on being at port as soon as it opens, especially after your dream! LOL!! Now for dreams, I too have had them, but I don't think you can spend too much time on these boards. I seem to learn something everyday I am on here (or sometimes every few hours). This seems to be the first place I go when I log on - even before my emails:tongue:

As long as reality does not imitate the dreams (unless you are winning the lottery, or getting a free cruise in your dreams or something like that), you are fine. After today, we are under 200 days! YEAH!!
