but too lazy to look...

Me, DH, DD7, DD2
7 nights
no souveniers (sending them from home)
regular dining plan (doesn't include DD2 who is a very light eater)
7 table service meal tips (dinner)
probably 1 beer for me at dinner (DH is too cheap to buy if not included)

My analysis $250:
lunch & dinner for DD2 $15/day (Garden Grocer cereal for breakfast & snacks)
7 dinner tips $15/meal (average $70 meal for DH, DD7 & me)
my dinnertime sanity beer $6/day

Thoughts anyone?

I think it a bit low.

My mom, me and DN (11) went the first week of December, 2009. We didn't buy any souvenirs (DN had her own spending money so I'm not counting that).

I spent close to $500. I found tips ran closer to $20-$25 per table service meal. I also tipped the ME driver (there and back) and the luggage service guy. That came to another $15-$20. The rest of it dribbled away with extra drinks, snacks, post cards, stamps (I forgot mine at home), pictures from rides/meals, a SD card for the camera (bought a new camera and forgot to bring a card), etc.

I'm thinking a bit low, as well.

Even with DDP, you'll probably purchase a few snacks/drinks throughout your WDW visit.

I probably would go with $400 or so and try to keep it at $250! *LOL*

Have a wonderfuly WDW holiday! :)

Sounds low to me, too. I'd say $500.00 to be safe!

I also think you are low. Probably your 2 year old will have enough food to eat with the dining plan. We shared meals between the 4 of us DH, DS 12 and DD9 and had extra meals leftover. For example at the food court at the hotel they had a big breakfast that would feed three of us, eggs, pancakes, bacon biscuits, it was crazy and than two drinks came with it. However I think you may be underestimating the unexpected costs that I can't think of right now. $500 at least. But I'm the type who would rather bring money home than come up short.

Thanks for all of your thoughts. Yes, being there several times in the past, I know that there are definately unexpected costs for the things you all mentioned. I was mostly focusing on the essentials and then the rest can be controlled.

We are shipping a boat load of snacks, breakfast, and water from Garden Grocer and will have refillable mugs so the extra snack/drink spending should be very minimal. I'm sure there'll be the occasional balloon for the baby and maybe an occasional inexpensive item for the 7 yo. :wizard:

Based upon our spending previous years, I think $400 would be closer to our overall number unless DH decides on an impulse buy which he has been known to do. pirate:

We'll definately have more available, but I always like to have a cap in our minds to stay out of trouble. :scared1:
