Spending money - How much?

we are still here, and av $35 for 5 per meal for tip, if that helps, so $7 per adult.
we have not needed to buy any food as there is soooo much, we have dont v and a and paid kids club, still managed less than $100 a day for 5!!
if you are thinking of cabs, think $20 from resort to park

on DDP tips are definitely the big expenditure you don't count on plus alcohol. We probably only have 2 alcoholic drinks per adult per day but they are very expensive compared to the UK. Can easily spend $35 at EPCOT on four drinks.

We've got the dining plan when we next go and, based on what we'll be eating, I've estimated that an 18% tip is between $9-$12 for two adults

We're going for 18 nights so thats between $160-$220 for the stay

I figure it in on top of our spending money so that it doesn't become an issue for us...like last time. The tips cost us more than we thought - there were 4 adults then - and our funds soon disappeared!

The dining plan has cost us £325 and, in table services alone, we'd be looking at spending £800+ OOP.

I know thewhole tip thing really gets me last time we went we had a meal at the Coral Reef there was 5 adults and 3 kids we was placed on seperte tables with another couple on the table in the middle between are one , ok so i get that they can not seat us together but they still charged us the 18% tip because we came in together and booked as 1 party now i was fuming as once the waiter seen we was on the DDP and that we was booked together ( we could not even turn around and chat to each other) because of the other couple table in the middle! our service went right down hill he was rude late with drinks ignored our dirty table and never asked if we wanted more drinks when ours was empty , so we refused to tip him the 18%
we said we would tip 10% because of poor service, which i think is very fair...he called over his manager and the manager said that we HAD to tip him the stated amount well i wasnot going to nobody tells me i have to pay for bad service after a little argumant with the manager ( he could see he was not going to get anywhere with me) he said fine i will have to pay the diffrence that you dont give him out of my own pocket i told him that was his choice! he then told us that he would be putting on the computer that we DONT tip the required Disney amount and that it would show when thay swipped our DDP card at that point i didnt really care:mad: so any ways sorry to go off thread but i thought you would be interested to know all our other service was great and we always tip the 18% or 20% for good -great service but i will not pay even Disney for bad!!

There were days when we only spent $10-$20 for dining tips, really felt like we weren't spending at all!
In fact we had enough money left in cash on our last day that I went and paid that cash for an iPad and case!
Really didn't spend hardly anything in Disney web using the DDP :)
