Spencer's Gifts in the Mall? Huh??? WT....

Spencer's doesn't bother me and I really enjoy it at Halloween. However, I remember staring in the windows of sex shops in Europe when I was quite young. Spencer's is nothing compared to those places!

it's been like that for a few years now. i go in there because they still have a few cool things in there. they're usually towards the middle of the store. concert t-shirts and stuff. but yeah, it's gotten pretty bad.

what i don't like is the parents who bring their kids into the store knowing exactly what is in the store. and i know THEY know because they're looking at all of the "things" while their kid runs around the store playing with half-nude birthday cards and gift bags

I remember it being just as bad "back in the day" ... well... my day (oh ... around the late 80s) that is.

Now I was never barred from entering the store ... in fact I remember when my mom and sister and I went to the mall together (yes, I was a dork, lol) we'd all go in there together to look at the gag gifts. Sometimes my face got a little bit red with my mom standing right there

My dad has been known to buy christmas gifts for the entire family at Spencers. sigh ...

I have to say ... as much as some of the merchandise is in questionable taste, I don't totally get why an *adult* would be embarassed to look at that stuff or to go in the store. I mean ... I understand why people might avoid it, but embarassed? We're all grown ups, right? We all know about "wee-wees" and "****ies", (or whatever y'all are calling them) right?
