Hi.
I want to take Uber to the Speedway by the BW/BC.
Does anyone know the exact location I need to input since I am seeing more than one.
Also, we are six adults and although we have no issues walking, it is a busy street (highway, etc.) to cross and is it easy
to get to the BW/BC area? I stayed at BC last month, but I do not remember seeing a Speedway, although we only took
Disney buses.

Thank you.

Google search for Speedway near Disney Boardwalk indicates 300 E Buena Vista Dr, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830. I put that into Google maps and it shows the one across the street from Disney Boardwalk. I have been to this Speedway, but not walked between the two. I do know that the driveway part of the Speedway that comes out across from the Boardwalk entrance/guardhouse does not have a crosswalk. If you go up to the corner on Buena Vista, there is a crosswalk, but it would add a considerable walking distance.

The road you actually cross is Epcot Resort Blvd and it can be busy at times from my time staying at Boardwalk or visiting the resorts off of this road. It might not be too busy depending on the time of day. If you can, you might want to ask the driver to let you off near the exit near Buena Vista Drive so you can cross where there is a crosswalk. It would alleviate some of the extra walk and might make you more comfortable crossing.

This is so helpful to me. Thank you so much! I printed your information.
I will let the driver know what my plans are and work from there about a drop off. Maybe we could get into
BW with the Mears, maybe not, we will see.

Thank you again!

If you are dropped off at the back of Speedway, just walk along Epcot Resorts Blvd toward the entrance of the auxiliary/cast parking lot (away from Buena Vista). There is a traffic light there, so you can cross safely. You would then enter where the buses enter, walk past the convention center, and follow the walkway toward the BW. It's actually pretty short & easy.

This is perfect. Thank you. Just printed this to take with me. I appreciate it.

I stay at BWV...a lot. And we often walk over to the Speedway to get supplies. It's an easy walk. Just walk out the back driveway area, behind the station, then cross right there. It isn't that busy a street. You can cross over right at BW and then walk up to the resort.

Thank you! I am thinking I will have Mears get us at 9:15 am? When we were there in September, an even slower time, I think we startrd walking over from BC at 930. Do you think a pick up of six adults at SSR at 915 is early enough? I want to be the first group waiting at temperature check. With the exceltion of my dh, the other four adults have never been and I want to make it a good trip. They are all aware we will be getting up and out and waiting in the mornings to get in vs waiting on lines in the parks.

Should I make a 8:45/9 am pickup? 🤷🏻‍♀️
Thank you.

I haven’t been but from what I’ve read you had better make it much earlier than 9am. More like 8 if you want to be the first at temp check!!!

ETA they are letting people into the park around 9-9:15

Thank you. Opening is at 11. When we were there last month, they let us in closer to 10. I havent heard yet of parks opening two hours prior to posted time but will keep an eye out.

Wait, so where is the ultimate destination here, DHS or Epcot?
Sorry. I see you didn’t specify what park you were going to. I figured it was HS

This is for Epcot. Thank you for asking, I should have made that clear.
I am the only planner and with exception of my dh, only one that has a clue or has a MDE (well my dh doesn't have MDE and just a little clue of touring LOL).

The group got to choose two parks, MK, Epcot or AK. Since we will have golf and hanging out built into our stay and our main focus is eating and drinking in DTD. We are in a GV at SSR since we are celebrating my 30th wedding anniversary.
I did not give them an MGM choice, since it would be way too stressful for me and they really have no clue. They chose AK and Epcot (I am doing Epcot on Wednesday, November 11).

I appreciate you all helping me. I will have to reserve Mears, which I am in the process of doing but the app keeps having problems since we are six adults and I want us to travel together.

Thank you all again, this thread has been very helpful to me!

I made my pick up for 830 am. This way, I am not stressing about our group walking too slow or stopping or whatever. I rather be waiting in the temp check area than in a line in the park.

Do you all think getting picked up at SSR and dropped off at Speedway and walking at 8:30 am is enough time to be one of the first groups waiting on line for temp checks? When we were there last month, we were early enough that they weren't opened yet and just waited on a bench and was in a first group of people but I cannot remember what time that was.

Thanks all.

I think so. We were there last week staying at the Beach Club. We left our room and got to Epcot around 10:10. They had started letting people in, but we were in the park really quick and were still able to rope drop test track and be off the ride before the park "opened" at 11. We also then backtracked to Frozen (it was still before 11am), but the line had already grown to an hour so we missed the boat on that one.

I'm confused... are you planning to walk to the Epcot International Gateway entrance from the Speedway? That's a longish walk, and IMO its not necessary for Epcot. You could do a mobile order at the Boardwalk Bakery so that you can get dropped off at the Boardwalk to shorten your walk. Even if just for a muffin or coffee. We took the Skyliner from CBR around 10:15 and were off Test Track before the 11am official park opening time.
