Speedos

When I see that icon, all I can think is "IT'S PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME!!"

Too bad our smilies don't come with .wav files.

You know, I honestly don't think that even occurs to him; he just doesn't like baggy trunks. He'd probably be mortified if anyone mentioned it, though.

Lest you think I'm a sick puppy, what I actually meant is that he is tall, slim and broad-shouldered -- he's got that swimmer's build that makes jammers look good, rather than dorky. (Lucky for him he seems to take after his Dad's side of the family, rather than short, dumpy me.)

Isn't it sad that you actually have to in a disclaimer about thinking your son is well built. Be proud and go ahead and brag.

I don't think ANY man should wear a speedo, even if they have the body for it. Noone needs to see your junk all squished up in spandex :scared1: it just ain't pretty LOL.

I live by Coney Island/Brighton beach where thee are tons of Russian immigrants on the beach. The men wear speedos or squares, which are spandex with a little bit of leg. The women wear two-pieces. None of them care what they look like, and MANY of them have big bellies sticking out. I give them a ton of credit for not worrying about that and just wanting to enjoy the sun and surf. Once you see it, you get used to it, and you don't even notice anyone's junk anymore. Really. :)

I'm with Aisling! Feel comfortable with what you've got, and where what makes you happy! My DS's have a hard time swimming in those long board shorts, they are constricting and have no "give".

As long as no private parts are exposed, the form-fitting swim suits don't bother me at all. I think many Americans just aren't used to seeing it, so it's :scared1: at first. But you honestly don't even notice after a while.

My husband is modest, but even he thinks the board shorts are silly. He has a couple of nylon "mini" trunks, that camo his junk but are short enough at the upper thigh.

My 25 yea old son wears the board shorts and my 19 year old, who has no body image issues, wears the squares.

This is what we call the "square swimsuit".

again JMHO, but I am used to seeing it, and I don't like it. Everyone has a right to wear what they want, and I have a right to turn around and gross out about you wearing it, but I would never do it to anyones face.

Oh, i know! :flower3:

I don't have a problem with nudity at all, but dudes just should not wear them, for my sake. :scared:
