How quick is the check-in at POP? We're leaving today - driving - no Magical Express this trip.

Took us an hour and half to check into Pop on Jan 1st. That is peak time however. All Stars on Dec 18th was just about 10 minutes to get to agent and then spent a hour with her!

It all depends on the time you check in, the season Disney is in, how many people are working the desk and just plain luck. I don't believe there is any easy way to determine how long it will take. If you have ADR's that day I found it best to plan for the worst for timing to be sure. When we were there last April over Easter we arrived at a fairly odd time and although I read about long lines to check it we didn't experience them on check in. I want to say less than 30-40 minutes as there was 8 of us (3 family's) checking in at the same time.

1) All resorts use the same computer system.
. . . they have the same blanks to fill-in
. . . they have the same data to complete
. . . they have the same info to confirm
2) As mentioned above, it all depends upon how many to check-in and how many CM's.

When we checked in at Pop in May, it was so fast. I dropped DH off to check in, then went to park the car. By the time they boys and I got parked and waked up to the building, DH was walking out. We even got our building request. There was no line and he didn't have to wait at all. Just luck, I guess.

I've been to POP 3 times so far and the 4th is coming up in over a week  .. Never waited more than 10 minutes I'd say..

I didn't find that it took to long to check in. I was actually quite surprised. The only thing I got mad at was I was given a room number only to find out when I got to that room it was already taken. I had to go back to the front desk and speak with a manager. As it turned out the woman who had registered me was new and made a mistake. Actually we ended up with a better room. We were first given a room on the 3rd floor and ended up on the 1st. So I guess no complaints there.

Haven't been to POP in a while, but stayed there 3 times...never waited more than 10 minutes.

I'd heard the waits could be scary, but we got there around 4:30 on Dec 29th, and were in our rooms in 15 minutes...with Disney parkhopper passes in our possessions as well.

It is usually quick for us as well. Alot depends on if a Magical Express bus has just pulled up. Another variable is if the people in front of you are having problems with their reservation. It usually takes us around 5-10 minutes talking to the CM before we leave. We have seen others there much longer trying to get something straightened out.

We went a fairly slow time last year. We just got off the Magic Express bus, and walked right to the line. No looking around, figured we could do that after check-in. There were people at the counters, but no one at a couple agents so we lucked out and just walked up to one. Whole process only took maybe 15 minutes, all was in order and then we leisurely looked around and wandered to our room. Very painless process! :goodvibes Put our carryons in our room, wandered back to get mugs/snacks, check out the store!, got our list of ADRs at Guest Relations and when we got back to our room, our bags were coming in! Wish I were there now!!

Yep-- we were ON the ME, and with kids, we didn't "sprint" off like others, so we were at the end of the line. In line close to an hour, actual check in process, 5 minutes.

It didn't ake us long either ,but we had rented a car and arrived on a Sunday night around 7 PM. (in March) I agree it just depends on how many are working, the time of year, the time of day, etc.... I didn't make any ADR's for that evening because I knew we would really not know how long it would take us to get to the hotel, get settled and over to the parks.

We arrived at around 730pm, and had a key in our hands by 745pm.
