Spectrum Moms Take on The World! Our Last Day...Multiple Posts!

Love all the crafty stuff! Those tags are adorable!!

By the time we got to AK it was you. I didn't even mention the part where you and I were trying to avoid getting tasered by those chains that they have on the roads on the safari. These ones were electrified! :rotfl2:

Heidi your dream was HILARIOUS!!! Now watch, your CM when you check in is HEATHER! :rotfl:

I'm looking forward to riding EE in the dark and just walking around the park at night. I won't decide about dinner until I'm there. I might just get a snack and eat dinner back at POP as to not waste park time eating CS there. The park closes at 8pm so I'll slowly make my way out and back to POP. I plan to make it an early night and not go out to DTD.

AK at night is very cool. It's very DARK and there isn't a ton to do, but EE at night is intense and awesome.

If I recall correctly from a year ago-Pizzafari might be the only CS open, and I think even that closes an hour before closing. Restaurantosaurus might be open too, but I'm not sure. I know Flame Tree is not because I had planned on eating there.

ONE WEEK!!!!! I'm excited for your "research" :teeth: trip. (I know, I know-there will be some research! :goodvibes)

Some of you may have already seen these on my PRT... but here are a few pictures from our snow day today (yes that's our Christmas tree on the right):

This was around 10:30 am - we got about 6 more inches after that!

We got about 16-18 inches of snow!! And it's still snowing a bit!

Sorry I didn't take more pictures... I intended to go out in the front yard & take more, but it was blowing sideways so I didn't want to ruin the camera!

Let's hope this doesn't happen again next week!!

:rotfl::lmao::rotfl2: Too funny!!!

No - there will be no blizzard next week!!! I have some pictures to share later...

Your next Wedneday sounds fantastic!! I really wanted to be at AK at night on our February arrival day, but when Alex decided he HAD to go to Chef Mickey's I had to shorten our AK time! Oh well...

My whole original plans for our family trip were made so we could go to EMH-pm at AK. And then Disney changed the schedule. I was really bummed.

 Two questions...

1) Whatever did you eat just before bed, and

2) Is Heather a Spectrum Mom??

Heidi, you will have to update on FB with pix of your first night so we can get even more excited!

Kathy
The best I could do would be to text someone with news for them to post because I don't have a text or data plan for my phone. But I'm totally willing to send some text messages as my day/night goes on!

I actually had a salad last night! I didn't get the feeling that "Heather" was a Spectrum mom in the dream....oh, by the way she wanted $100 from each of us for the rental car. I told her that no one was going to pay her for that because she didn't email all of us about it prior to the trip!

Heidi your dream was HILARIOUS!!! Now watch, your CM when you check in is HEATHER! :rotfl:

I'll so be on the look-out for Heathers!

Yeah the list of open things is really small but I'll just be happy to ride Everest and to walk around and try to get pictures. Thanks for the heads up on Flame Tree, I had it in my notes as being open for EMH.

FYI Jess I am so sorry I did your's first and underestimated the length of ribbon...it may be a bit short to tie on your bag...but I have a spare string to tie through if it won't tie on secure.

Hakuna Matata, no worries, I'm sure it will work out great.

Heidi your dream had me :rotfl2:

To the rest of you my day is pretty similar- so here goes: This time next week...

We will have a typical Wednesday morning routine, drop Jack at school and head into work. Where I'm sure I'll be watching the clock all day anxious to leave the next day. But I'll try and keep my mind off the trip because I'll want to get my lesson plans done for Monday/Tuesday so I won't be worried about them over the weekend and can go back to work the following week with less stress. After work I'll pick up Jack and we'll head home. I'll probably plan pizza for dinner this evening so I can have extra time to get things ready for my husband and parents to become cook, chauffeur, etc for 4 days. And will hopefully have everyone asleep early so I can catch some zzz's before my early morning (which sadly isn't too much earlier than my regular wake up time, lol). Oh and as typical with school bags and things, I'll set up the boys school bags by the door and my suitcase/bags by the door as well.

Woo hoo for one week!!! Anyone know any 'anti' rain dances? :rotfl:

Catching up on my 'this time next week'......

Well it didn't take long for my Tuesday to change. That likelihood of having work to bring home with me is now fact, I have a report due the following morning so after working 8-5pm in the office, I'll be working 7-?? pm from home between laundry loads. :headache: Blech!

Wednesday will be working again 8-5pm -- I was hoping to cut out early but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. Dinner might be something easy, take out or order in because I know I'll be doing last minute packing and remembering all the things I've currently forgotten. I'll pick out and hang up in Ariana's closet her clothes for the rest of the week giving her a couple of extra choices so she gets to pick out what she wants on her own. Then it's off to our local arena to cheer Alex on for his hockey game at 9pm. :cheer2: George will be working so I'll be texting him with all the goals scored. Afterwards, it'll be hugs and kisses galore then straight to bed at 10:30pm! I'm driving myself in the morning so I'll be hopefully getting a great night's sleep and having sweet Disney dreams!! :cloud9:

One Week, oh yeah, uh huh :cool1::banana::dance3:

This time next week I think it's safe to say I won't have any issues waking up. I'll spring to my feet get dressed and be ready to make my way to the airport. But not before kissing my children and husband several times. Then I'll be anxious and nervous prior to flying, but the end result will be :cloud9: because once I land I'll be making my way through a new airport looking for DME :cutie: where I'll board and head to Kidani village the entire time being anxious once more to meet 6 fabulous women that I've only had contact with via the internet, some only since this trip came together this past year, and some for longer. Then after several introductions, greetings, meetings -laughs and possibly tears, we'll make our way to... well I think we posted that so WOO HOO 1 week ladies

I'll be back for my "next week" post after I drop the boys at school, but I just looked at my phone & I like weather.com's forecast better so I thought I'd share it! (Doesn't have Sunday yet.)

Exactly ONE WEEK from today I'll be in the air, probably somewhere over the Carolinas, winging my way to Orlando!! :cool1: :woohoo: :yay:

I just love this little breakfast...especially the smiley face on Mickey

but this time I'll be ready with a change of undies and my travel-size-approved personal care items just in case I get stranded. Murphy's Law, and all... if I'm ready, it won't happen, right?!

Yes that is always true...never forget our trip (just Matt and I and friends) in '98...our 1 friend forgot his sunglasses at home...bought some on Day 2...and then it rained for the next 7 :rotfl:

Scrappie, you are so creative... I love all your projects! I wonder if anyone from the DIS will recognize us from our tags? :thumbsup2

thanks...ooh I hope so...I should post a pix on the January '11 thread :thumbsup2

Just reading about everyone's busy, busy lives makes me realize how very much we all need and deserve this little break!!

oh man I do and that's sad considering I was just gone in Dec for 4 days ;)

Well, I'm off to do my shirt... wish me luck!

Kathy

did it turn out ok?

Woo Hoo!!!

:banana::banana::banana:

Thanks Kathy!! Just got them in the mail now!

hope mine come today~

Well the crazy pre-Disney dreams have already started......

Here's a summary of last night's:

. And I tell her that Julie won't drive one and neither will Amy and I'm not going to because I want to be able to have a cocktail in the parks if I want. Then I remember that I have to call Julie to let her know I'm here but my phone is all funky with all these Disney apps and I can't find her number. Heather and I leave the room to meet up with everyone. I see Julie for the first time and she's 4 1/2 feet tall which I wasn't expecting that so the first thing I say to her is "You're so tiny!" Next I go to say hi to Amy but it's not Amy - just someone with the same hair cut. Then we all walked thru a gift shop on our way to Animal Kingdom. At AK it got really crazy with us walking thru a safari and going the wrong way and CM's yelling at me and Amy to get back or the lion will get us. :scared1:

Yea, I know. I'm nuts.

:lmao: I was reading this on my phone yesterday afternoon while I was waiting on Bekah and laughing outloud in the car...too good!

This time next week.....

I'm looking forward to riding EE in the dark and just walking around the park at night. I won't decide about dinner until I'm there. I might just get a snack and eat dinner back at POP as to not waste park time eating CS there. The park closes at 8pm so I'll slowly make my way out and back to POP. I plan to make it an early night and not go out to DTD.

it was pretty neat to be touring the parks for a signifcant part of the time in the dark...so used to go when it's dark it's time to go...so have fun, sounds like a great first day! Can't wait to ride EE w/ you too! I love to scream

Love all the crafty stuff! Those tags are adorable!!

thank you so much :goodvibes

oh, by the way she wanted $100 from each of us for the rental car. I told her that no one was going to pay her for that because she didn't email all of us about it prior to the trip!

if it's not in the spreasheet..it's not being paid :rotfl:

Hakuna Matata, no worries, I'm sure it will work out great.

thanks for understanding

and my suitcase/bags by the door as well.

 sweet can't wait for that moment!!!!

Woo hoo for one week!!! Anyone know any 'anti' rain dances? :rotfl:

I'll get right on it ;)

I'll pick out and hang up in Ariana's closet her clothes for the rest of the week giving her a couple of extra choices so she gets to pick out what she wants on her own.

Ok question do you do this on a regular basis or all the time :confused3 people sometimes give me a "hard" time but I pretty much do this for all 4 of my kids during the school week/ and for church mornings. Even my Mom...thinks it's over doing it. But for me it's one less thing my kids need to think of in the morning and get highly distacted w/ the multitude of choices. I was excited to see I'm not the only highly organized Mom :goodvibes

:thumbsup2

Yes I agree the weather on the phone app seems nicer...but I got my poncho ready to go.

Next week I'll be in the air too!! :cool1::cool1:

I'll get myself up around 5:00 (maybe a little earlier), throw on my clothes & pack up those last minute personal items. I still don't have the transportation details worked out, but I suspect DMIL will pick me up and drop me off at the airport. After taking in the quietness of being in the airport without kids & grabbing a bite to eat, I'll be on my way! :dance3:

I'm loving this day! Exactly one week from today I will have woken up bright and early, quietly and anxiously loaded up the van, and after a quick caffeine stop, made my way towards the border crossing. It's a little early for the kiddies to be up but chances are someone will sleepily hug me goodbye. :cloud9: I'll have made it through security and will be awaiting the moment when I can board my flight!

Two and a half hours later I should be texting the ladies my arrival  and boarding ME to Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village!!!! I'm sure I'll be wide eyed the whole ride in and I can't wait for all the new things I'll see. I'm the last of our group to arrive so I'm hoping I get to AKV in time to give all the ladies a hug and a hello before we zoom off to DHS!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

In one week from today...

at just about 8:15 am CST...I will have already been up for about 5 hrs...gotten dressed, picked up Anne Marie, and made our way through TSA at the airport, had a morning snack, boarded the plane and our on OUR WAY! officially to WDW  :cool1:

the rest of this fun first day for me will include a few of my most FAVORITE first things...

* smelling Flordia air...it just smells different

* seeing Palm Trees

* walking the red carpet to my awaiting chariot...or bus ;)

* seeing the Welcome sign! :cheer2:

AM and I w/out delays should be the first of the Spectrum Mom's to arrive...

I can't wait to walk through the doorways into AKL and take it all in

I can't wait to split some zebra domes w/ AM

I can't wait for all the other ladies to arrive and meet, hug, scream like silly HS girls

I can't wait to get on the bus to DHS and start this trip

I can't wait to scream all silly on TSM and ride RnRC w/ Amy!!!

Oh it's going to be a great first day just ONE WEEK from today :goodvibes

Ok question do you do this on a regular basis or all the time :confused3 people sometimes give me a "hard" time but I pretty much do this for all 4 of my kids during the school week/ and for church mornings. I started doing this for Ariana this school year. She chooses her favorites when getting dressed and they don't always match, but she doesn't care. I'm usually not home in the mornings when she gets ready for school and George isn't quite up to snuff on what teenage girls wear so hanging up in her closet five complete outfits for the week allows her the freedom of choice -- with style. It makes it so much easier for them both, mornings are busy enough getting ready and out the door.

It's so exciting to read everyone's 'this time next week' posts! :goodvibes

I missed yesterday, next Wednesday I'll check in for my flight and then get the kids off to school and have a haircut at 12n. Then the usual Wednesday things, dance, dinner for my mom, homework, etc. Hopefully I'll get to bed early but I have a feeling I'll be running around doing last minute stuff.

This time NEXT week I'll be in DISNEY!!:cool1::cheer2: After getting up at 4am  Julie will pick me up and we'll be off to the airport. I can't wait to ride the airport monorail and catch DME to AKV. Unlikely our room will be ready but Julie and I will hop over to Jambo for some lunch before meeting up with all the others.

Kathy ~ love your 10day celebration!

Heidi ~ your dream was hilarious! Hope none of it comes true though. ;)

Tracy & Julie ~ I get Daniel's clothes for him every day (the girls wear uniforms so nothing to pick for them ) Would be interesting to see what Daniel would pick, he has no matching ability. :rotfl:

Amy ~ I like the new weather forecast too. I think they always have a 20% chance of showers in Florida. I've got my poncho but hope we won't need it! Love the snow pics, we don't have that much thankfully!

Well, I'm off to try and get some things ticked off my list. Still too many for my liking on there.

At this time next week I should be somewhere at AKL/AKV haging out with the Spectrum Moms, anxiously awaiting Tracy's arrival! :yay::yay:
