Spectromagic same as Electrical Parade?

Hi we go to DL and DCA often and have seen The Electrical Parade too many times to count. I really want to enjoy all the different rides in WDW and look forward to it.
Is SpectroMagic worth watching? Is it the same or better than the Electrical Parade?

It is not the same, and whether it is worth watching is a matter of personal preference. It is long, it is flashy, it has many electrical components, music, a few characters (MSEP had many more).

If you've not ever seen it, and you like parades, why wouldn't you want to take this one in at least once?

We have been so many times sometimes over the years I do not always remember everything right (maybe that is a bad sign) but it seems to me I use to see the electrical parade at MK and then they switched to spectromagic. They were not the same and I liked spectromagic better.

Thanks! I guess we will try and see it but it will take some planning since it will only be showing 2x the week we are there. Any Disney parade can't be bad!

I do'nt really like MSEP very much, I'm not a big fan of the synthesized music. I LOVE the soundtrack to Spectromagic though, it's just so..Disney!

Spectromagic is ok and better than no Lighted parade but I LOVED AND MISS the Electical parade. I wish they woud bring it back.

I agree with Ducklite. Although I enjoy both parades and wish that they'd return the MSEP to the MK (as well as TON to Epcot), it's the music that is the crowning glory in Spectromagic.

I preferred MSEP To Spectromagic but YMMV. I'd try to see it the first time it plays during your trip. Then, if you like it enough, you can see it again. If not, then no big deal.

If you have never seen it by all means you should. My personal feeling is it NOT as good as MSEP. It is missing the Disney toch in my opinon. If give a Choice I would go see Fantasmic over Spectromatic or Illunminations.
