I have been to WDW 3 times but have never seem this parade.
We are planning to go to MK on the 23rd. Its showing that night,
its a Monday. I was told that the park will be crazy that day because of the parade. Is it woth it or should we pick another day and skip the parade? I have a 9 year old and a 21 month old.
Thanks. So glad I found this site. So much great info and nice people.:Pinkbounc

Trisa, welcome to the boards. I'm not sure which month you are going in, but 23rd of March is not a Monday. I know because I'm going to WL on Thursday 20th. Anyway, assuming it is March you are going I think they have cut spectromagic and it is only on Saturdays as far as I know. Even so, you really need to see this parade. I think it is Disney's best and the music is terrific. It would be nuts to avoid it just because of the crowds. My advice would be to grab a spot for the parade in Frontierland as this is where the crowds are least. Or you could just stake out a main street view if you want the 'classical' look. I'm sure your kids will be taken with all the lights, and you will be too!

I am going to the parade 23rd too. How early do we need
to be there to stake out a spot?

My other question is what do you do about dinner on
that night? Do you try to eat really early or really late
because I guess it takes a while to get out of the
park once the parade ends.

Does tinkerbell still fly across Mk and if so where to I need to
be to see her and the parade?

Thanks,
Wintermom

Sorry. It must be the 24th. Its whatever Monday of that week is. I called and its showing that week on Mon and Sat. Also I read snow white is not as scary anymore. Have any of you seen it since they changed it? Could my 21 month old handle that ride?
I will see that parade since you said I would be nuts to miss it. Thanks so much.:D

We like to get a spot early since this parade is SO popular. If you are lucky enough to get a spot close to Casey's you might want to have a hot dog for supper right there while waiting for the parade. We love to do this.

It isn't near as scary as it used to be. I remember riding it with my 9th grade Science teacher and he kept screaming like a little girl! It was so funny. Now every time I ride it with my husband I get tickled thinking about Mr. Hart screaming. As for your child, I'm not sure. Does he/she do well in dark areas? Some of it is a little dark. Otherwise he/she should be fine - but I don't know too much about kids.

Hope you both have a GREAT time.

I am a HUGE Electric Light Parade fan. In my mind, this is a bad and disappointing version. I prefer to sit in my living room with my light up ELP figures and my CD of the music than watch Spectromagic but than again, what do I know:p

We were planning to see SpectroMagic on 3-24-03, but I believe Disney has cancelled it for that date. It is no longer listed on their website as an event for that day and TourGuideMikes website says Spectro will only be on Saturday nights until the end of March. I'm sorry if I am the bearer of bad news. I share in your disappointment! We cannot go on a Saturday. :(

Yep. I called last night and it did change. Its not showing Monday.
Gee I just called 2 weeks ago and it WAS showing. Why must they
change things and keep us guessing????
