Spectro and Wished strategy

Hi again!
You all have been so helpful I am back for more ( SAVE THE NEWBIE

We will be in WDW from the 16-23 of May, and Spectro is only on Tues. I expect it will be JAMMED!! So what is a good strategy for getting good seats, ect?? What time should we get there??Where should we sit??

I am planning on avioding MK on tuesday beacsue I know it will be crowded, so we will likely do another park all day.

PLease help.. ps- how crowded will MK be on Monday? Does everyone go there on Monday because most ppl arrove on the weekend?

Monday is good but Wednesday is better. If you are just coming Tuesday for parade and fireworks cosider watching from Town Square so you may be in front of the massive exit at the end of Wishes. 60 minutes (20:00) should be enough time to get a seat on the curb.

Where is Time square?? I know , dumb question, but I am a newbie to WDW!

TOWN Square is just inside the entrance where City Hall and the Train Station is located. It also happens to be by the exit on your way out of the park.

I was there last week, Wednesday was not too bad except for Fantasyland. Space Mountain was a walk-on about noon. Peter Pan & Pooh were about hour waits. Splash Mountain was only about 20 min. If you are looking for a curb spot on Main Street for the parade, I would get there about an hour before. We watched Wishes on Friday night by Crystal Palace, not a bad location.

How do you find out the time of the parades???

We will be there at AK & MGM on 5/18 and MK on 5/19.

On 5/18 @ MK SpectroMagic is at 2100 and Wishes Fireworks is at 2200. On 5/19 the Share a Dream Come True Parade is at 1500 (also on 5/18) and Wishes at 2100. No Spectro but the park will be open until 24oo for resort Guests only.

I went into MK just for spectro and wishes one night.. what we did was...

Head right into Fronteir land. We got a spot right before the bridge to the hub.. OK.. I know.. your a newbie.. IF you are at Crystal Palace, walk straight out to the Left.. there's a bridge to Fronteir land. RIGHT THERE! After Spectro passes you can take that same bridge to find a nice spot for WISHES.. in front of Crystal is great.. or just pick a spot in the street.

THe only thing w/ Town Sq. is for SOME reason everyone leaves before WISHES and its crownded there. Maybe a table up in the train station. ANYWAY.. ITs a great show either way.

But being further down the street gives you time to rush a ride or2 before you leave.. or to shop your way out. Transportation will be packed on Spectro / Wishes nights so pack your patience!

Go to the Disney web site under calendar. You can pick the park you are interested in and the month you want. Then click on the day and it will show you the parade / firework times. I am attaching the link to the calendar page. Hope it helps.

I looked at the schedule for June 13 - 20 and specto is scheduled every night. I keep reading its only one or two nights a week?
Am I making a mistake? Will there be 3 parades in a row? Can you see all of them from the same spot? Im afraid theres so much to do, it will be so confusing if I dont plan out as much as possible. Thanks for all the info!

Spectro is scheduled every night at 9:00 during your entire stay. I'm not sure what you mean about 3 parades in a row.

The afternoon parade is at 3:00pm- Share a Dream Come True Parade.

Spectromagic is the electric parade that starts at 9:00pm.

Wishes is a fireworks show that starts at 10:00pm.

Spectro runs more often in the summer, sometimes more than once a night. One or two nights a week is in the off season.
