We are planning a trip to WDW in June. What started out as our family of 8 and standing reservations for the grandparents has now turned into all of us plus an invitation for my aunt and her closest granddaughter. I spoke with her yesterday and she is bring all three of her granddaughters. Oh yeah and my best friend. We may have 13 on this trip. Yikes! lol No problem, we'll figure out room capacity and make extra reservations if we need to.

So back to my real dilemma-
I want to do a Wishes specialty cruise. I rented a pontoon many years ago for our family and had the BEST time. With the amount of people potentially coming on this trip I either need to rent two pontoons or the yacht. Two pontoons are $680 or so and the yacht is $740. It was a difference of like $60(not a huge deal). I went ahead with the yacht so that we could all be together. (wise decision?)

My questions are this:
Has anyone ever rented the yacht? Are the views as good as the pontoons? I'm worried that with 13 people that not everyone will have an unobstructed view.
MS couldn't tell me if they gave discounts for DVC or annual passholders. It's not a deal breaker, but I was wondering if there is. DVC.com on the discount page says boat rentals out of the marinas offer a 10% discount, but is it that for renting your own boat?
How much do I tip the captain?
If I cater it I have to go through GF since it's out of the GF marina. What have you had catered? What was your favorite? When I went before we did a sandwich tray, fruit, chips, drinks and a cake. It was very good. I am thinking that we may have a late lunch and buy enough food to call this is a late dinner. Or we could just go with desserts... decisions decisions.

Wishes will start at 10 that night btw. We're supposed to be at GF at 8:45ish.

ANY advice from experienced vets is truly appreciated!

How about the Pirates & Pals Wishes Dessert cruise. It is a lot of fun! No planning or worries!

The yacht aft deck area isn't really that large for 13 people. I don't think that they let you on the fore deck or flying bridge and watching the show from inside the cabin would be a poor view.

I would go for 2 pontoons and when the fireworks are about to start, see if they will tie the boats to each other so it will feel like you are all together.
