**The Swan and Dolphin is offering a Summertime Hot special discount for teachers, and Education Support Staff.

This rate is for travel from 7/28/06 - 9/1/06 and must be booked by 2/28/06. This discount is based on hotel availability and not all dates are available.

Teacher and Education Support Staff Discount
Those that qualify under the teacher discount are the following:

All teachers and educational facility administrative personnel (includes colleges and universities) can take advantage of the TEACHER discounts. If you are a teacher with a certified teaching certificate, or you are employed in a school as an educational facility administrator you can take advantage of the TEACHER discounts.This would include teachers aides, substitute teachers, and administrative staff. These job types will require a Work ID or letter from supervisor on company letterhead stating employment or a recent Pay Stub.

Are you a home school teacher? If you have a certification for home school teaching from your state, then you also qualify for the discount.

Last month I had booked 2 nights at the Dolphin for August at $155/night with the teachers rate. Today I called after seeing this rate and they adjusted the rate to $129/night for a standard room.

I just checked for my dates for government employees and the rate in late August appears to be the same as that for the teachers for that same timeframe. What a great deal!

Yeah, they need to move the dates up if they want teachers from the Carolinas. Our teachers goback the last of July / first of August.

I just called and booked direct. I told them that DH was a government employee and that I saw the rate on the WWW. Was not asked for a specific code.

I have to agree. They are very good about booking over the phone with info we get from this site.

Actually when I called Friday, the girl I spoke with told me they were all sold out even after trying several combinations of my dates. I immediately got on the DU site and was able to book with Bob.
