Long story short DS8 is qualified to receive OT (for fine motor skills) but is not classified. Here it is Oct. 29th and he has yet to start OT this year. I have called and spoken to the Social Worker 3 times already with no real reason why DS hasn't started OT. She "seems" to think that he is scheduled for Thurs. A.M. but doesn't know why he hasn't started yet. So I move past her and go to the Director of S.S. I have left 2 messages for him already and haven't received a return call. He has been the one to help me in the past, as the Social Worker didn't know how to put DS through for OT without being classified(and heaven forbid she go and find out). So now even if DS is scheduled for Thurs., he will not start until Dec. as we have 3 out of the 4 Thurs. off from school in Nov. My question is who would be the next person over the Director of Special Svc. to contact - would it be the Superintendent? DS writing abilities is having an effect on his school work. The principal is no help whatsoever either.
