I've read that there have been sales on Park Hopper tickets either buy one get 1/2 off or at par specials. Any chance that could happen this late in the year? Our trip isn't until October.

Does anyone know when they offered the special last?? If they've already offered one this year I'd say we're out of luck :( I'm curious to know this myself.....we're going in October too, and I've yet to buy tickets for our trip :)

They usually had the special at Buy One get the Second for half price. It has not happened since 2003? I've asked CM's at the DS about this year but they don't think it will happen.

Time will tell though.

Ditto Scratch's reply-

I was in at CAA today, and the last B1,get 1 1/2price ENDED in May 2003- (stated in Oct 2002) but they didn't run one in the fall of 2003.

Agent at CAA didn't think it was going to happen this year either.

Mainly because of the Fairytale & Dreamaker packages- WDW is able to get people to stay on-site and sell them tickets that expire (more money for them of course:o )

Any opinions on the chance of an at par special? Since we
re not going until Oct. I have lots of time. My 90 day window FINALLY opened up and I've made some of my PS's and now I don't want to stop until I have everything ordered! But I also don't want to jump the gun and lose out on any specials like I did with with Westjet:(

I think with our dollar doing so well lately against the US greenback it will be unlikely that Disney will offer the "at par" deals of the past.

Tourism is picking up again in the US and park attendance this summer is also improving so Disney doesn't "need" as many subsidized Canadians to fill their hotels and theme parks, unfortunately for us:( .

We can still hope though...

Thanks! I think I'll go ahead and order my passes today when I make my call to make my PS.

No need to order them yet !

You can call and order them before you leave in Oct and pick them up at the park - just in case a special is announced between now and then... wouldn't want to give Disney too much of your money too soon !! :)

Agreed!- but also because the exchange rate may drop on the US you only need to watch the rates and order just before you go. You have 3 options:

1) Call WDW and order & pay by phone & pick them up at Guest relations when you arrive at the park....you still get them at the advance rate.
2) CAA only needs 6 days max. for 7PHP adults are $330.00USD
3) CDN Disney stores are cheaper IF the exchange rate stays above 1.35 and I think most have them on hand.
4) Order from other places eg.Paramount, Orlando tickets, Holiday House etc. in late Aug/ Early Sept if they need to be shipped. (I forget about the 4th option)

Chances are there won't be a special this year. There wasn't one last year probably because the exchange rate is so good. If there is one it usually happens in October and it is usually on the 7 day hopper plus. And yes, it usually is a bit cheaper to pick them up at TDS if you can because the exchange rate on the passes is quite good. It's also cheaper to pre-purchase than buy them at the gate. If you are purchasing at TDS make sure you do it 2- 3 weeks before you travel. The reason for this is that although the stores stock the passes regularly, they can sell out and orders can be delayed, especially if you are travelling during high season.

I am going in Feb 2005...do you think they will have a special out for the winter/spring? I called the Movies resort not too long ago and they said that they have had the Cdn at Par deal on the hotels for the last 5 years and they will have it this year too. Just make sure they quote you a certain price...you prolly have to ask for it as well.
