This was in my husbands email today.
Apparently it is a special 20th anniversary showing of Fantasmic for annual passholders only. (Requiring an RSVP of course)
It also looks like certain sections of the park are going to be open past closing.
The dates kind of suck (choice of a Monday or Tuesday) as 90% of people usually work or have school and can't stay out until 1am.
but here is what was in my husbands email (as I am obviously not Christopher, then again I never got an email, I wonder why)

Christopher,

My mom got this today as well. I think it really sucks that you have to show up at Disneyland a few days in advance in order to reserve your spot. Even though we're only an hour and a half away, an unplanned trip down just to pick up the vouchers is pretty inconvenient.

I'm about 2 hours away and I was able to RSVP over the phone through the AP line. I did not receive an email -- this event is open to all AP'ers. The CM did ask where I live, put me on hold, and then came back to tell me it was okay to RSVP over the phone.

I also rsvp'd on the phone since I live in Norcal....hope it works out smoothly and the reservation is there when i get there (I am always paranoid). My sister did not get an email, neither did my mom, or bf...maybe because I am the only premium??? they told me that my sister would not be able to go and rsvp because she did not get an email...so not sure what is up with that.

The CM I spoke with did not even ask me if I received an email. I didn't mention it either.

I'm paranoid about it too. I'm going to call as it gets closer (I RSVP'd for the 22nd) and confirm I'm still okay.

I saw that if you RSVP'd at the ticket booths you got a printed out voucher in a little folder.

I wonder if they're going to update the show at all or do something special for the 20th anniversary. I can imagine there being a debate on whether to keep Fantasmic the way it's been for the past 20 years, or tweak it slightly. Maybe you all will get special dessert seating :D

I am interested to see what this even will be like. Looking forward to seeing if they do anything special, or if it is exactly the same. Either way I will be happy.

Did not get an email; maybe it is because we've purchased the AP on April 22nd.

It seems that the CMs over the phones are giving conflicting information.

I called, and was told that if I did not get an invite I could not RSVP, and the APers with invites had to RSVP in person.

The CM then checked and told me I got an invite. I found it in my spam folder.

I'm happy for those who are able to RSVP over the phone whether or not you got the emails. :)

Just got off the phone with disney. i was told i could not RSVP at this
time if i did not recieve an email invitation. She said email invititations
where sent to premium passport holders first, but additional invititations
may be sent at a later time. Bummer..

My wife received the email invite today, and I did not. I went down to the ticket booth today and was able to RSVP with no problem. I explained it's my day off, and it's gonna be raining when my wife gets off work, so it makes sense to let me do it, as I'm right here. They were very cool, so after I got our ticket for May 21, I walked down Main Street, took a picture with Donald, and enjoyed a corn dog before heading home. My wife was thrilled that I was able to get this done, and a little envious about the corn dog.:rotfl2:

Anyone have extra spots with their reservation on the 21st? I tried callin right now to RSVP and since I live "too close" (over 2 hours away) they cannot do it over the phone and today is the last day :( my birthday is actually on the 21st and we were planning a special trip down there just for that. Seein fantasmic would be an amazing bday present!

Good morning! Just wondering if anyone attended the event last night and how it went... :)

I am attending tonight and will report back! I saw the sweatshirt and t shirt and try look awesome! I will certainly buy one tonight. We checked in and got our wristbands. It seems a lot of different food offering are available, I'm planning on getting the souvenir popcorn bucket, a blueberry blast drink and a fantastic cupcake. I have pictures of the info but I only have my iPhone and don't know how to post pics with that (if it is Even possible).

Thanks - that's great - can't wait to read your update tomorrow. I am mostly interested in knowing how crowded it was - i mean how early did you have to get a spot to view the show etc.

We were there last night but didnt stay for the show as DH had to be up at 4:30am for work. We did enjoy some of the "special" food offerings....DH raved about the chili cheese corndog (mmmmm, it WAS good!), and we also enjoyed the mini churros with spiced chocolate dipping sauce. We're going back tonight to see what other goodies we can try. ;)

do they give you a list that tells you where you would find special offerings (like mini churros)?

not that i saw. they had special signage at the restaurants and food carts advertising their own "special" item. for example the churro carts had the mini churro w/dipping sauce sign, the stage door cafe had the chili cheese corndog sign, etc. a list where you could see ALL the special items offered would be great!

When I checked in today I was given a flyer that shows me the special offerings and where I can find them.

Oh my. I want to try the mini churros with the chocolate dipping sauce. That sounds divine. I'm already a churro addict.

I have to wait until next week! Phooey. But at least I wont have to worry about getting up at 3A the next morning for work for once.
