Special DVC Member ADBs

Did everyone get the e-mail promoting three special Members Only versions of Adventures by Disney tours? Am I the only one who thinks the dates of these tours are too soon, or do others feel the same way? Haven't most of us already planned/allocated our points for this year?

Seems to me to be poor planning. People won't be able to do it because they've already planned their vacations for this year, then Disney will turn around and say "See, we tried this and people didn't want it." Have seen this too often with other things.

Just my humble opinion.

We just closed this week on our first DVC contract...so I am not in the system yet...would you mind posting the dates of the trips & places offered thru the DVC? TIA!

Yes for major trips like that you have to plan much more then a few months ahead of time

+1! Agreed, too short of notice and possibly a test to "prove" a lack of interest.

I didn't even look at the dates when I saw the point cost. It would take me years to get points for one of us.

If you bought resale, you cannot use your points for any Adventures by Disney trips.

I definitely thought the dates they chose were too soon also. Now if they had chosen to offer them at a reduction from the normal amount of points needed I'm sure there would be a little more interest. My guess is ABD wasn't able to secure enough interest for those dates with the non-DVC crowd so they decided to make those dates "exclusive". I'd love to do the Peru one but that is something that would definitely need some long range planning for.

The first number of points is an adult, second is for child. But Peru and China are adults only.
