This is not "girls scout leader". This is her daughter. I snuck over here to ask for some help. First a little back ground info.... There is a group of 10 of us(6 "girls" ages 15-16 and 4 adults) we are going to Disney for 5 days. We are flying in the morning befor we hit the parks, so we plan on hitting down town Disney. Our adults and put forth alot to put together this trip for us. We want to give a little back. We (the girls) want to do something for them. Please, We are open to ideas for a nice dinner for them. Something in a resort or down town, something not in a park because we would like to do it on the night we fly in and we wont have our tickets yet.. price range foa a dinner probly not over 30ish a person. Any sudjestions?????

What a nice idea!!! Artist Point at the WL is nice. Rainforest Cafe in DTD is good, too.

The Kona Cafe at the Polynesian would be me suggestion. Reasonably priced. Not too crowded. Relatively inexpensive.

P.S. You know this thread will be put in your Mom's User Control Panel. Even if she doesn't read the Restaurant Board very often, she will see "she" posted to it.

Two places come to mind - Boatwrights at POR and Olivia's at OKW. Neither one will break your bank. Both have excellent choices, including plain ol' food (not artsy fartsy stuff where they place it artistically on the plate by hand). You could take the boat over from DTD to either POR or OKW. Just get the right boat since there are two.

I would go to 'Ohana at the Polynesian. It is under $30 a person, all you can eat and lots of fun.

good recommendations. how about house of blues or portobello yacht club both at DTD? we have enjoyed meals at big river grill on the boardwalk. it is nothing fancy, but we do enjoy the food. you will get differing opinions of big river. and you all are doing a great surprise for the adults--good for you!!

We concitered ohana and wasnt sure, i guess were looking for something fun. we tried wispering canyon but there are booked and we couldent be all at the same table. what is that one cuban place like in down town disney??

Hey,

I have heard that 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian is suppose to be fun and good. Cinderella and prince charming are there. Here's the link to the menu,

We are going to try it out the next trip we go on. My sister and brother-in-law went to the cuban restaurant at DTD and loved it.

Good luck and I think yall are doing something so sweet for the adults.
