We are traveling to Disney for our sons first birthday. I was wondering if there is anthing special or free that we can get for him at any of the Disney parks or resorts. We don't want to miss out on free stuff or a wonderful memory.

Thanks

The only 'free' thing you can count on is the birthday button you can ask for at each park's guest services.

You can book a couple of meals and mention it's his birthday and they may or may not bring him a special dessert for his birthday so do and some don't.

They do special birthday cupcakes at most of the character breakfasts. At Chef Mickey's, Minnie came over to our table and the CM's sang Happy Bday to my niece. As I recall, most of the Pooh characters came to our table for DD's bday. They bring a card signed by all the characters and a cupcake with a sparkly candle.

We were there for DS's first and second b-days. First time we got nothing. Second time they sent balloons(plain ones) a cake, candles, party hats, party favor(the kind you blow but don't make a sound) and an autographed picture of Pooh, Eyore and Piglet that was sent to our room. Suggestions are to let them know that your trip is for the clebration of his birthday. They asked us when we were booking our trip and when we checked in. Have a wonderful time.

We just celebrated my dh's 40th birthday last week. I mentioned it when I booked, and reminded them when I checked in. They sent a personalized, autographed card of Mickey Mouse, with two helium balloons attached, to our room on his birthday.

He also got a piece of cake with a candle in it, and a chef's hat at Teppanyaki. And of course, he got his birthday button and many well-wishes at the MK!

Have fun!

Get a button and keep it for the memory book. Let the hotel front desk know as they will usually send up an autographed character postcard.

I got the button...more of a deal at MK than AK. The best part was the talking trash can in tomorrowland stalked me down and sang happy birthday. It was really funny!

We went for dd's 5th birthday last year and are headed back for her 6th this year. Last year we ordered a cake at LTT to have after dinner (It was about $12). This year I'm ordering a cake from the GF bakery to have at her birthday dinner at 1900 PF. Also, at WCC they gave her free cake with gummy worms on it AT BREAKFAST, and stood her up in a chair and everyone in the restaraunt sang to her. We also got Birthday buttons from all the parks, all the cm's told her happy birthday everywhere we went. The BEST thing that happened the whole trip though, was......we saw the Mayor of Main St. USA on her actual birthday. Told him it was her birthday while posing for a pic with him, and he started YELLING, I mean, really loud! "Hear ye, hear ye! I hereby proclaim that today on Main St. USA is Kirstin's birthday! Let's everyone join together and wish her a happy birthday!" Then, he starts singing the birthday song, and everyone on Main St. starts singing along!!!!! Talk about a magical moment! It was the most amazing experience yet!
