my dh and i will be celebrating our 10th anniversary while we are in disney this may :lovestruc

we want to have a nice dinner to celebrate, but we will have all four kids with us....suggestions please??

they are all well behaved and used to eating out (restaurant behavior:littleangel:)

some restaurants we are already planning on are ohana, whispering canyon and coral reef....we don't have a preference on location (ie, park or resort)

As long as they are well behaved, I would suggest California Grill.

The atmosphere is really pretty, food and wine are fantastic, and service is top notch. They also treat you really special if you are celebrating something.

Go either during sunset or during Wishes :goodvibes

You'll see plenty of other kids at CG (not like it was when I was a kid). If you eat early they'll let you back up to see Wishes from the observation deck.

I would love to try CG--even a 3 year old and a 9 month old would be ok?? They really are well behaved kids, I just thought we would be looked at like "what are THEY doing here?!?!" type of thing!

What time is "early"?

Thank you both!!!

We were just at CG in November and brought 3 kids ages 7, 4 and 6 months! They were fine. There were lots of other small kids there and we were not out of place at all. In fact, the 6-mo. old was asleep when we arrived at the restaurant, and they let us bring the stroller in and then moved one of the chairs and let us put the stroller at the table. The baby was perfectly content. They have kids coloring menus and crayons that they bring to the table for the 7 and 4 yr olds. Finally, the nice thing about CG is that, if one of the kids gets a little restless, you or your spouse can walk them outside to overlook Magic Kingdom for a few minutes.

I've found that all of the Signature Restaurants are very accommodating to small children, and we've eaten at most of them and I don't feel that we've ever felt out of place. It's Disney World, it's a family destination (unlike a place like Las Vegas) and people shouldn't feel bad about taking kids to a Disney restaurant.

In terms of time, I think the best time to go is about 1 1/2 to 2 hours prior to the Wishes fireworks. If Wishes is at 9, a 7:00 or 7:30 reservation gives you enough time to enjoy a leisurely dinner and then head outside to the walkway to enjoy the fireworks. If Wishes is later and you don't want to eat so late, you can get a reservation around sunset (beautiful view), then leave and return for the fireworks. They will let you back up to watch the fireworks as long as you had a reservation sometime that evening.

yes, i agree that kids should feel comfortable anywhere at disney--i'm glad i'm not the only one who feels that way!

thanks-i'm so excited to make this adr now....and now i'll just stare at the menu for the next 4 months! lol
