Special AKV Offer??

Anybody else get the email about adding on to AKL for 100 or 200 points. The deal looks pretty good, especially the whole gift card towards down payment part.

Thinking about it so would like to hear what others think.

No, we didn't get the email. We are at AKV right now, and I emailed our guide wondering what the current add-on promo was. He said they had some good promotions, but didn't tell me what they were in email. He wants us to come by and see him.

Can you tell me what the promos are?

I'm not in love with the part that the Developer Points have to be used at SSR but I'm thinking about it. We have a big family trip planned for OKW in April then we wanted to go to the 2009 F&W. I guess if we closed in October, the developer points may not expire until the end of October. It's a thought.

3. An $800 Flexible Credit

Double that for a 200 pt add on.

So in other words,

developer points, gift card and $8 off per point.

IOW, it's just the usual $8.00 off per point.

I got the email and will be calling my guide about it in the morning. Nothing in my email states a restriction on the Developer's points, so I would assume that there is no restriction (but will call just to be sure).

It works out to be $91 per point before the DPs work into the equation.

I also understood (and please correct me if needed) that Disney only sells the same UY to existing members for add-ons. I currently have 200 Feb UY points at AKV. If I add on 100 more with this promotion, will I have a Feb UY for those points too, or just whatever happens to come up?

EDIT: I just reread the email...and yes, you must use the DPs at SSR. Sorry for the misleading post.

I got this offer also! We are considering it! I would love to use the developer points for a Christmas trip, just wish they could be used some place other than SSR (not that there is anything wrong with SSR, we have just stayed there several times lately)!

I got the e-mail as well. But I am really bummed, we just added on earlier this month and sent the paperwork back last week! I can not do another add on right now, my husband would kill me if I even mentioned it!

We would love to add on but just can't swing it right now. I think that offer is really good. No surprise that the offer expires the day before the Member Cruise. Those DVC folks are smart!

Hmmm. That is interesting. Wouldn't that be a cool place for them to do some sort of BLT announcement? Where better than a ship full of loyal members! We just added on last week too. My husband would freak!

Yup, they are trying to get a few more buyers to get in with AKV, before they announce BLT. I really feel like a BLT announcement is really on the verge even more now. I say definitely by end of September, if not by Labor Day weekend. That is my guess.
