It sure is a mystery how and when they assign cabin numbers to gty status bookings. I was so excited to get our stateroom numbers! I hope the wait is not too much longer for those still in limbo.

Also, I wanted to add that the cabin number for the girls room is not correct...should be cabin 2010 (listed as 201...wonder where that would put us??? ) THANK YOU!!!

Allen, our teens and I are off to Yellowstone National Park in just a couple of hours. We're very excited because we haven't been back in 12 years. Our teens don't even remember being there since they were only 3, 3, & 2 at the time. Allen and I get the pop-up, and the boys get the tent. We'll be gone for two weeks so I will miss catching up with you all. Till then, y'all have fun and be good.

Oh, I also had a question...is it necessary to book things like snorkel and bike equipment on CC before the cruise?

When we sailed with RCCL last year we just picked those things up the day we were on their private island. I am wondering if we will be okay to do that with this cruise? Or do you think that because of the supposed close to sold out status it may be necessary to book those kinds of things ahead of time?

You definitely don't need to reserve in advance -- just get them on CC when you want them and they will charge them to your cabin. I have found that they have more than enough of everything, even for a full ship.

Mine is still listed as a guarantee online.

Yes, we were category 11 guarantee. I saw the room number online.

We may have been assigned because I requested "no upgrade and deck 5," which we obviously didn't get.

We did get a Category 11 but on deck 7.

We are a Cat 12 GTY with 4 in the room so we will be getting at least a Cat 11.

I thought about calling them and giving them our sob story about not getting to finish our Mexican Riviera cruise with the idea they would feel sorry and give us a better upgrade but decided not to push my luck.

At this point I just want to finish the cruise and not fly home from the Bahamas!

This is what I tell clients all the time. You may not get an assignment until you get to the terminal. Our second rooms is still GTY. I had no choice when we made it a quad, but that's ok. My nephew is really hoping for an upgrade because he said he doesn't want to be in the blue part (he looked at the ship and I pointed out where the category 9 staterooms are and the ship is blue there!) He said he wants the white part because the blue is too close to the water LOL

Yesterday was good, even with the 90 minutes of rain.
Just had the walk.
Now for a little tub time.
Breakfast for now will be a Snickerdoodle.

Hard to believe that it is just 10 short weeks until the cruise.
But a lot of summering to do before then.

Great to hear folks are getting the GTY rooms assigned, we did that once and got our room about two weeks before sailing. I about drove them nuts checking.


Looks like a nice day here, yesterday was 12 hours of wiring the basement Library and bar area. Phone line was a prob as there was not one to be found in the open area of the basement, had to get creative with teh fish tape , we did get it done.

Speaker wiring in on the list today, not sure about that, want to put in seperate area volume controls.

Got a call yesterday and have to go into work later today. So don't want to get into too much of a project when the call comes, OT is nice as it will pay for something.

Will there be a place to post when onboard in case someone doesn't get assigned until at the port, or gets upgraded at the port? (Last year on the August Med repo I found out I had an upgrade when checking my bags at the port!)

I've been thinking about that. Provided that I have my cabin assigned before then, I was thinking of having a white board where I can post changes, but then I worry that it could get wiped of by mistake. Option 2 have a master roster attached to FE , Option 3 see if I could leave a copie of the roster at guest service, or do both option 2 & 3.

Wow so many choices. If any one has any sugestions that would be great.

It's really tricky -- as I said, I got a cabin reassignment at the port and there was a cabin to write changes on (on a whiteboard) -- still, I don't think most people found me on that one!
