Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued

Have not been to HHI yet, I guess we should get there sometime. Would be KEWL to see Shadow.

Got in a good three mile plus run this morn, played with a new Garmin, I am learning.

I think we may also be doing the one bag deal, I will have all that bling from the DL 1/2 to wear arround, along with our groovy lanyards.

Looks like it will be clear here today, and we will be in the basement. I broke down much to Lynn's Joy and am having the 65 sheets of drywall delivered all the way to teh basement. Should make it all go faster.

We have a 10K race next weekend. next Friday there is a Celtic band playing at the Train Depot, will see how they are.

Thanks guys! It is amazing that we didn't even have our points for a whole 24 hours before we became point poor!! But hey, that precruise stay is just going to make for an even more special trip! The kids were hooting and hollering about getting to stay at VWL.

We are starting to think of packing also. We order rolling duffles from LLBean because there will be 6 of us in the car not to mention 4 of us in our state room. We wanted something that would store easily in the stateroom plus be easier to get in the van. Ended up that we order the XL ones and when full, they were 4 inches too big for the new airline standards. They went back yesterday and the new, smaller , ones are on their way. We know we will have one extra bag but with DH FF status, he can carry that one!!!

We decided that there are some things that we are packing for our July trip that will just stay packed for the cruise!

Hello all, even though we have had this cruise booked for a long, long, long, long time, I have held off on joining this thread as I have always found it a bit overwhelming, but the cruise is getting close enough that I thought maybe now is the time.

We are a group of 4 adults with two cabins. I have cruised on DCL once before years ago, but the rest of the group has not. We will be staying at OKW for two nights prior to the cruise and AKV Concierge for one night after the cruise. Our airfare is booked, but we are undecided on transportation to the port right now. We have no excursions booked yet as I just could not bring myself to get frustrated with trying to book at midnight of whatever night it was. We would love the Palo brunch, but I don't think we will be missing out on too much if we don't get it.

So, that is all i know to share at this point.

We are looking forward to meeting everyone and having a great time on this cruise. let the good times sail.......

New to the thread, in that I just came out of lurking , and I am wondering if there is a list of how many are participating at this point? I already have my FE, I am just wanting to get a feel for how much stuff I am going to need to come up with.

I know, this thread is great, but lots of folks and lots of posts! It is so tough to keep up!! Still some time to work out the transportation details....and good luck with Palo. I am still keeping our fingers crossed for us on board!

Keep in mind, some cruisers may not be participating in the FE gift exchange, so that could drop the numbers. I plan on shipping some stuff down to port prior to the cruise, and yes, I am keeping it small and simple!
