Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued

Hope everyone had luck -- it went pretty easily for me, had everything I wanted booked by 12:05 . . .:thumbsup2
 
This is totally frustrating.....it is 12:08 am and DCL is telling me there are no Palo brunch reservations available....
 
Well, lessons learned on the online reservations and kids....

I took the time to register Merrick first so we could just match up our hopeful brunch time and his Flounders ressie at the same time (at the time there were tables for 1-2 available.) Then, after that one minute process, I went back to reserve brunch and darnit, they were gone!!!!!

I'll keep trying, but at least we have dinner and dessert there:)

I am also irritated because it is not even letting me in because it says I am not paid in full AND I BOOKED WITH DVC POINTS!!!!!!!!!
 

My screen said...No High Tea available...

This is a total bummer....I was looking forward to brunch...:sad: :sad:
 
Get this.. just for the heck of it I went in again and used JOE'S name and birthdate instead of mine.... apparently HE is paid in full but I am not??? Too late though... no brunch or high tea available. Plenty of dinner reservations though.. :confused3
 
Initially the web site said that I had not paid for my cruise. I logged out and back in again and it recognized that I really HAD paid!

I was able to select brunch but by the time I hit submit my brunch was gone. Betcha if the site had recognized me the first time I'd have had that brunch!:(

Any chance at all of being able to book brunch on board?

Say that fast 5 times "book brunch on board"
 
We got what we wanted, but I had to make two Palo dinner reservations because now that the kids are old enough to go to Palo there are six of us and I had to book a reservation for 2 and a reservation for 4 to get us all in. It was frustrating because I had to pull up the second reservation to add the table for two.

We wanted brunch for 2 of us, but I thought it was more important to make sure all of us got in for dinner so the kids could experience Palo for the first time. Oh well, I'll check once on board, but no big deal.

Mine did the same thing and I also paid with DVC points! First thing I did when I logged in was go to Palo's, it bounced back saying my reservation didn't exist, yet it did when I logged in! So now I have no brunch reservations, and that is within 5 min of it opening it up. I am either calling or emailing DCL about my frustration with their reservation system, it did the same thing with the EBPC reservations.:mad:
 
I just tried to adjust some times and before I could confirm, it gave me a system error and now I cant log on at all. I have no idea if I just lost all my ressies. Not happy, I am tired have to wake up at 430 and I know I will stay up until this business is done.
 
Hi! My wonderful DH gave me this cruise for Mother's Day/my birthday (which is in Sept.) We have a Cat. 5 guarantee. It'll be me, DH, DD12 and DD8, plus my in-laws who have a Cat. 11. I'd love to be added to your list of cruisers. DD8 is extremely excited about the fish extenders. I can't believe how many DISers there are on this cruise! We'd better get busy.
 
Well I see I was not the only one to not be able to book Palo brunch....I wonder if they only had a few tables available. I might try again at the 75 day window.

Even more frustrating is that I tried to access the website this morning....after my 4.5 hours of sleep.....and now the website is "experiencing technical difficulties" and we are either to try back later or call the office. hmmmm...I wonder if it has anything to do with last night????

I'm upset but it's not the end of the world....we will try for a Palo brunch reservation once we are onbord, if I am unable to book something online.
 
SInce I couldn't stay up... I got up early to try a while ago... we really wanted the brunch... the website said the system could not log me in... sigh

HOW FRUSTRATING!

If you logged in before midnight and then refreshed, it always says you are not paid in full. This is a glitch in their system and has been for some time.

Keep in mind there is only one day for brunch so it was going to be hard to get. This is part of the reason why I didn't want to have brunch on this cruise.
 
AFter continuing to try for the past hour or so...

The website just came up... but as everyone just said... no brunch or high tea... unless someone got a big table and has extra seats available???

We would love to make new friends (hint, hint :thumbsup2 )

We were going to book whatever was available and then see who else wanted to join us... looks like we'll have to book a longer cruise to get a brunch... I'm ready!:rotfl2:
 
I didn't even try for Palo brunch because I know I am doing it on the PC repo . . . I wonder if anyone was able to get it at midnight?

Sorry to everyone who had problems last night.
 
I was in at 12:01 AM and it let me click on the brunch, only had 11:30AM available (which was perfect) and by the time I could confirm it, it was FULL!
At least I was able to get it for dinner. :thumbsup2
Sorry for all booking at 75 days, even had terrible pick of spa treatment times.
