Hello Ray. I have a 11 1/2 year old Daughter. She will be 12 in October.... Not sure if you are still trying to find someone she can hang around... You can let me know... If they would like to talk through e-mail I can give you the e-mail address.. Just let me know...

Michelle

I've sent both of you a PM

Hi Michelle & Cathy_S

I'm sure my daughter would like to exchange PM's or email with your girls. At the moment she does not have her own email account (so far she hasn't really needed one and she stays very busy with activities, so she really doesn't have the time to "hang out online" - so she just goes through my account(s).

I'll PM you my email and the girls can take it from there.

We're in the Tampa area and have always left the morning of the cruise, so we're not over there the night before, although I have heard that some hotels let you park there while you are gone for free if you spend the night before. Anyone know anything about that?

Ray

If you want the beach close, look for a hotel in Cocoa Beach – beachfront hotels are posted further down.

ROOM INFORMATION PER REQUEST
None of the rooms will give you an ocean view since they are several blocks from the ocean. The standard rooms are only 2 stories. the suite buildings are 3 stories. For standard rooms and either the 200 or 400 building for suites. The 200 building is closer to the pool although the pool area may get quite noisy so if you want a quiet area request courtyard view. The most favorite rooms are in the 800 building 2nd floor facing the pool. Be aware that most of the pool side rooms are king rooms. There are just a few rooms with 2 beds facing the pool.
Due to the construction of high rise condo's, there are very few rooms that will give you small views of the ships unfortunalty none have a wide open view of the port any more.

Hello all!!!! It is getting close... My DD is so ready... I am too... I am in need of a vacation.... My DH is not at all excited about the formal night, but I am mean and am making him go.... He is not a dress up kind of person... But I told him it is only for a couple of hours he could handle it...

;)

Hi Two Foxes, I didn't realize there are some locals on here, we're in Longmont, CO! What day are you leaving for the cruise? We're on the 8AM I think Frontier flight on August 29th.

Hey there! We are flying out on Frontier on 26 Aug....I was a bit irritated because they had originally had two flights out, one that got in about 3:00, another at 10:30 pm. We booked the earlier because of the little man, plus we'd get in in time for dinner. Well, they cancelled that flight and moved us to the one that gets in at 10:30. Yuck.

We gotta get in to WDW by the 27th, though. It is my 35th birthday (don't like the sound of that AT ALL!!!) but, as long as I have my CP breakfast at MK, it will take some of the sting outta it;)

We have a big camping trip coming up in June. We're going to Yellowstone for 2 weeks.:cool1:
Disney Dreamin'
Sharon

We went to Yellowstone last year! It was AWESOME!!!! We really enjoyed it!!! It snowed for us on Father's day while we were there!!!! I think it was the best vacation yet! It's MUST DO Again vacation!!!

However, we would like to cruise with you in the future.

When are you planning to cruise again? That way we can rebook instead of cancelling. (Got to keep that on-board booking discount.)

Thank you and have a Magical time,
Charlene and Andy

I just found out about Frontier canceling our flight as well. We got a refund and moved to a Southwest flight for $115.00 less.

We are stuck with Frontier unfortunately. One ticket is a frequent flier ticket and the other two were bought with travel vouchers from our last adventure on Frontier to Orlando in December....long story short, it involved 9 hours, running out of baby formula and a missing oil cap. We got $450 in vouchers though, so they reimbursed us well. (I am toying with adding a day on to the front of our trip, but I was add in extra DVC points, and extra day of rental car.....it may cost us more than it is worth. )

I am also not the best flyer, so the fact that Frontier has direct TV is a HUGE bonus for me. It keeps me distracted during the take off:scared1:

OK, this is really a bummer, Gordy is going to be very disappointed!! :worried: :worried: How are we going to hear about all the diving adventures.

Gordy has cruises planned for Nov. 08 and the 1st Tortola visit in 09. Any of those work? :confused3

Sorry we won't be seeing you in September.

USE magical express, to get to DVC resort. free :rotfl:
Get rental car the same day you have planned just from one of the locations at Disney!
Swan has rental place, car care center has rental place and several DTD hotels have Rental places. same rental period no change.... in price. Just send Tim off to get the car, while you and the little man relax.... LOL

Now all you need is the DVC resort points ...Borrow from 09
LOL :rotfl2:

Oh, :rotfl2: as many of you know I have been doing security for the movies filming in area,
Right now I am at a set location that is going to be the electronics's store in the Surrogates movie, Filming on Friday. the fake wall they constructed out of 1x4 pine and that really thin ply wood. then put glass shelves on it, and electronics on them just came crashing to the ground
SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF ME!!!!!
Glass breaking and stereos & lava lamps crashing to the ground...

Oh well, they will fix it in the morning...

It is a Disney production. 1oo million budget!
It is in a vacant store front in Lynn Mass, :duck:

Who would have thunk, they would have gone out and purchased everything the needed for an electronics store!!!
And i mean everything! big tv's down to Phone chargers...

ok back to watch my electronics store. lol

No wonder we could not get the new ships sooner...
:lmao:

Why do you have to be so practical and logical! ;) I will look into that today...The car rental is the only thing I am worried about....somehow I got some killer rate at Hertz, with it being way cheaper to keep the car through the cruise, even with parking at port, than any other place (we usually use budget.);) Well, now you know what I will be doing today at work:lmao:

We used Hertz before, but didn't like having to go off site from the airport... have you had any problems? We looked at Alamo, and it was cheaper to drop off the day of the cruise and pick up after the cruise. I'll have to keep looking too... not fun! :rotfl2:

BUT, the cruise will be fun!

Hey everyone!

We are back from 5 wonderful nights on Grand Cayman. We had a great time, that is my favorite island in the Carribean to visit. We also vacationed there in 2000 (when DD was 2 1/2) and in 2003 (when DD was 5). The beaches were wonderful, weather was very good (but hot!), and the Marriott resort was awesome.

But the crazy thing was, we were missing the Disney cruises! We could see the cruise ships in port each day, and sometimes we would run into passengers, and all we could talk about was how much fun we would have on our cruise in September!

Jill Not sure on a couple of things!

1 if you need/ want the car while at Disney?

or if you would be ok with a pick up of the car the day/ night / early evening, before the cruise, however.
I would suggest Avis if you are ok with 2 one way rentals, there location is right across the street from DTD, in the Hilton.

Find it hard to believe that the rate you got is so good that you could keep the car for a 5 day rental / plus a few more, and 5 days of parking..

however I can respect if that is what you wish to do, having the little man. and the car there as you return from your cruise would work out very well for you!

However, Avis is just up the street, short van ride. ;)

Most respect

Peter

...but it's my turn to bow out. Although our cruise has been paid in full for awhile now, we are unable to keep our reservations. We are all heartsick, many tears have been shed!

We're sorry that we won't be meeting those of you new to us, or reuiniting with our cruise buddies from September 06. You'll all be in our thoughts. Have a magical time! :(
