Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued

I hadn't heard anything about this and I've been checking every time I call in. Today I found some new information. As of right now there will not be a formal night. Of course, everything is subject to change, but I did confirm the pirate night in Nassau.

Maybe DCL has been reading our thread and saw that many folks wouldn't be dressing up and favored a Tropical Night!!!

I told them we wanted a Tropical night. I also said they need to have a special night just for the 5 night cruise. Maybe it was the allergy and sinus meds but I thought it should be a deck party called ----

They could get the old band together and play a few favorites! It could be like the Flower Power concerts at Epcot

I couldn't see the agent, but I'm certain she was rolling her eyes!

Of course Gordy is allowing us to come along to carry his luggage (Bunny slippers included).

Not likely in my opinion, but you never know. That is still a little ways out. The 105 day mark is May 19. They don't have the schedule down yet for the Eastbound PC cruise yet. They will likely set that before they set the 5 night.

Bob, Glad Gordy is being so gracious.

No Formal Night YEAH!!!!!! It is OK for this trip as we have the DL 1/2 Marathon the day before this cruise and cross country travel limited space etc... However the formal Grass Skirts are allowed.

5th Diminsion - Sounds like a Twilight Zone epasode. Imagine if you will a group of fellow travelers, borading a cruise ship, behiond me you recognice the Disney Magic, ready to take you to "THE TWILIGHT ZONE!!!!"

Thanks! At one point I knew that but the last couple of weeks have taken their toll!

I am glad no formal night too. Teenagers would just whine about it which is no fun anyway. With the baggage restrictions, I don't want to be bothered taking formal wear! You made my day!

The other stuff we still have no idea, what is going to happen, we will as soon as final payment is made..

DH is back in. We went to dinner last night for my birthday and not only does he want to do the cruise, but wants to bring the family and spend extra time in Florida visiting his cousins.

I had called today to book the romance package and asked about this again. The CM checked with there supervisor who said yes there will be a Formal Night. So I guess who knows! Lol. I will probably pack a nice dress just in case!

Okay Scott....seeing the pictures of your basement have defintely been an inspiration to Mom and I.....so far we have in just over a month...we have painted my bedroom (still need to put up the border but need the paint to "cure" first), painted Mom's bedroom (still need to put up her border) as well, we transformed our "Mickey" room into a storage heaven with armoires and storage units and we have also transformed a large closet (was originally going to be a sauna but that never worked out) into my Mom's dream pantry and now we are working on a facelift for our main bathroom....tile for the floor, new light fixtures and a new coat of paint....I sure hope this cruise gets here soon....I need a vacation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will post pictures when everything is done....although our bedrooms look great....they need the borders to give the "full effect" of the room....it shouldn't be long now....we hope to be done in a few weeks!!!!!!
