Have a "Magical" day!!!

My family is booked into 2 standard inside staterooms (cat 11). This is our first cruise. We've been to the parks plenty (my childrens nursery has been disneyland in Anaheim!).
The kids are all tweens.
I have a 12 year old boy who looks and sounds 15 (he is 5'8", voice changed, shaves and does not want to be in the "kids program". He'll be 13 the very next month. Do you think they'll let him take part in the teen programming instead?)
I have a learning delayed daughter who is now 12 but will be 13 at time of sailing. She is in no way 13! She is about 10 (socially, cognitively, emotionally). I want her to hang with the 10 to 12's if possible).
My youngest is a 10 year old boy who is hoping to meet up with some pirates. We are all looking forward to this so much!
Any experienced DCL cruisers have advice? Anyone else on this cruise want to say hello? :yay:

Happy Birthday Peter!!!!

Great job on the lists - you are the king of the cruise activity list! :thumbsup2

Sorry to say..................... Barb and I are pulling out of the cruise for this year. This economy is playing heck with the IT world and the job has become very shaky to say the least:scared1:. With the costs of flights and all it's just not something that we can risk, time to save for that rainy day. I'm sorry to drop out as I was using this as one of those goals to drive the year forward and we for sure will miss seeing everyone and enjoying all the special events with our DIS friends. I'll be checking in to make sure you all stay in line :-)

So just got off the phone again with DCL. Yes I'm a bit obsessed, anyway I talked with a CM named Hector and he was so nice! I told him I was trying to figure out what night to do Palo and if he knew when Pirate or Formal night would be. He said we weren't going to have a Formal night, and I was like oh ok, cause I was told we were. Then he said you know what let me check. Looked into his computer and he said I'm so sorry you guys are having a Formal Night. It's the 4th night. And Pirate is the 3rd.

So there you go. Looks like we are having a Formal Night. Who knows if it will change once again. Lol. Just thought I would let everyone know. I can't believe it's almost 105 days until our cruise. Can't wait to meet everyone!

Not sure what other info you'd like??? ask away. glad to share.
Good to know that we will be having a pirate and a formal night. I am so excited about this trip.
Just ask, I'll answer.

Welcome aboard Tinkslite.

Bummer I was looking forward to not packing for formal night.

Oh well dust off the tux.

PETER!!! I missed your BIRTHDAY!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY... LATE :wizard:

Bummer about Formal night! I still think that could change. At lease there are no requirements to really dress up if you don't want to.

Tinkslite: As to the questions about the Kids Programs. We do not have children, so I can't offer from personal experience... I am hoping someone else with children can jump in to answer your concerns... Based upon what others have posted in the past, DCL seems very strict as to the age requirements for their programs, excursions, etc. At very best, you can ask, both on the phone, and in person once on board the ship. Perhaps you will be pleasantly surprised! Good Luck!

I don't care what Scott says, I am rebelling, I am NOT packing formal wear, especially Scott's, it takes a whole suitcase, and the airlines are charging for that extra suitcase. We can just wear nice clothes, and maybe take a tie for Scott!

Bob, the property is on the corner of San Marco Dr. and Sulstone, the end of the canal (which is only a foot deep!) I think the number is 1400 Sulstone, but as it is a vacant lot, it will not be marked.

I'm with you on that. Slacks and a button down shirt with a tie! :thumbsup2
Will docksiders work for dress shoes? :confused3

Hi everyone, i am so embarrassed to say i haven't checked here in months.. :sad2: I was slipping and just forgot about it all - then today it hit me that the old thread must be too long ,and therefore not showing up on my "subscribed threads" anymore - duh.. So, i looked - low and behold, there it is - a link to this thread...

So, i check this thread, only to find i have to catch up on 107 pages!!! popcorn:: :headache:

So, just letting everyone know i am still here, and still going on this wonderful cruise -- as now i have room for my ticker. I started scrapbooking all my Dec/Jan cruise pics, and now i am dying to get back on that boat - and to CC without the 40ft waves at sea.. and the 60 degree rainy weather at CC.. :sad2: LOL

Is there anyone who will have a 6-8 yr old lil' girl on this cruise?? My dd would love to get to know someone - she made friends with a Dis'ers 2 lil' girls last time, and it was so cute..
