Happy Belated birthday to the Birthday Boys.. Bob and Peter.

Where does the time go? How come I don't have anybodys birthday in my calendar?
Can you believe it was 3 years ago today we were sailing on the first Canal cruise??? Wow... I must be having a LOT of fun because the time sure is flying by!

I thought we were going to do Tropical night instead of Formal... not officially of course but on our own..... I don't mind taking a dress.. but like Lynn said.. that TUX takes up a whole suitcase!!!

Hi everyone, i am so embarrassed to say i haven't checked here in months.. I was slipping and just forgot about it all - then today it hit me that the old thread must be too long ,and therefore not showing up on my "subscribed threads" anymore - duh.. So, i looked - low and behold, there it is - a link to this thread...

So, i check this thread, only to find i have to catch up on 107 pages!!!

So, just letting everyone know i am still here, and still going on this wonderful cruise -- as now i have room for my ticker. I started scrapbooking all my Dec/Jan cruise pics, and now i am dying to get back on that boat - and to CC without the 40ft waves at sea.. and the 60 degree rainy weather at CC.. LOL

Is there anyone who will have a 6-8 yr old lil' girl on this cruise?? My dd would love to get to know someone - she made friends with a Dis'ers 2 lil' girls last time, and it was so cute..

We changed ours to points, so our trip has been paid off for years.

Is your tux really that dusty? Been wearing it out on the trail?

I don't care what Scott says, I am rebelling, I am NOT packing formal wear, especially Scott's, it takes a whole suitcase, and the airlines are charging for that extra suitcase. We can just wear nice clothes, and maybe take a tie for Scott!

Bob, the property is on the corner of San Marco Dr. and Sulstone, the end of the canal (which is only a foot deep!) I think the number is 1400 Sulstone, but as it is a vacant lot, it will not be marked.

I am leaning toward the shirt and tie thing also. Maybe a jacket.
Sigh. And I really enjoy playing dress-up.
The luggage fee really throws a monkey wrench into things.

I did mention on the phone and the dis rep said he thought the stretching on my kids ages would be ok. Particularly for dev. delayed daughter.
I read through the LENGTHY names list and realized ours was Mom and DAD!! lol
I am Yvette and my dh is Alan we are the Hansen family. Our kids are James(12 going on 15), Jessica (13 going on 9) and Nicholas (nice normal 10).
Its our first cruise, but we've memorized disneyland and ca in anaheim and had 3 visits to Dworld. DisneyQuest is James idea of heaven. Nicholas loved space mtn best, but pirates anything are still his fave.
Jessica is a Hannah Montana fan.

Does formal mean FORMAL! or is a nice sundress (for me) and slacks w/polo ok for alan?? I don't want to lug really formal clothes if its unnecessary.

Hello one and all!

I posted on the original thread back when we booked this cruise but haven't really been too involved because I was being cautious. DD10 is starting middle school in Aug and we didn't have anything in writing that it would be OK to miss 4 school days.

That has changed

We went to middle school open house, met the principal and got an e-mail today from him giving his OK for her to miss the school time. Now we don't even have to consider changing the date!

DD14 is in a special needs school and they are beyond flexible and understanding about any and all time out of school-so no problems there!

Tinkslite-We've only been on one other Disney cruise and before we went, we got DD's doc to complete the medical form stating that DD needed to be placed with younger children in any group settings. I don't think that we really needed to have it but it made me feel better to have it just in case the CMs needed documentation before putting her in a younger group. DD14 (Sara) is also a huge Hannah Montana fan!

Great job on the list Peter! I realized I forgot to post our cabin number... it's 6582.

Also, we will have Joe's friend David sailing with us! They've been pals since Kindergarden. This will be his FIRST ever cruise. We thought Disney would be the way to go for a FIRST cruise, and could think of no better group to get him acquainted with Disney cruising than this one!

Wow, that's alot of kids! They will have a blast! I have a DD10 also. She has made email pals with other girls on this cruise, so PM me if your friend's DD10 wants an email pal!
