How's everyone's weather? We got quite a bit of snow (for us) yesterday morning. Here's a picture of my son and his first snowman.

:rotfl: :rotfl:
......Now back to your regularly scheduled thread :)

Debbie
You all come back now. You hear.:lmao:
Actually Debbie, you don't have to lurk in the shadows.

Sorry we missed ya when you were in Indy.

Sounds like the midwest is getting hit pretty hard. Clear and cool here in WY wish the politicians left some of the hot air, LOL, So much for WY 15 min of fame.
Nice day here. Cool, but sunny. Melting what snow there was left. Good dog walking day.

Oh I forgot to mention Sams Club has Margarittaville Frozen Concoction Makers. Scored one for the Adventures Club Bar, I bet it will make a mean Conch Cooler.

A Frozen Concoction That Will Help You Hang On?
(hang on!, hang on!)
Yes, I have seen that baby. Heavy duty puppy.
Bet it could puree a brick(Tool Time reference)

Speaking of Tool Time Scott, does Lynn ever feel a little bit like Jill?:goodvibes

One of my favorite places.
The first Disney property we ever stayed on.

Old Key West is THE favorite place. That's where we own.

Have you ever stayed at Port Orleans Riverside. We were wondering which would be the better choice.

Actually, the first place was almost at Disney. The Grosvenor. I think it is called something else now.

Then it was the Caribbean Beach.
Next was Port Orleans, French Quarter.
Then the Beach Club.

After that we were Welcomed Home in the DVC at Old Key West.

I have never stayed at the Polynesian Resort, but would love to once.
Had a few drinks there once while on "The Monorail Krawl":goodvibes

You know, after my first post, I noticed that green writing in Comic Sans font and went "oh gawd, she's back":rotfl2:
You left out the part "My thoughts aren't too clear":lmao:

Glad to hear the weather is great there. :rolleyes1
My brother and his family are there this week.
Oh well, I'll make it down in about 6 months.

Fellow DOuble-dippers:

There are reports that the Magic is sailing with two malfunctioning engines and cannot maneuver sideways, hence not docking in Castaway Cay.

What do you think?

I am being optimistic that they'll dry dock it early and we'll be okay, but who knows...

:scared1:  :sad2: :sad1:

I'm sure that it will be resolved without going to dry dock.
But then, who know.:confused3

Have a great week Everybody!

Good Evening Cruisers!! :wizard:

Just popping in to say hi! :wave2:

We'll be staying at the MouseHouse before and after the cruise... in fact I'll be staying at the MouseHouse pretty much forever now... :lmao: so when you're in Orlando, let me know and we can say HI! :rotfl:

Noreen / Nezy

Mouse house is the condo behind Magic Kingdom.

Walking distance to the mouse beach unit!
:lmao: :lmao:

Just incase you are wondering.

Same complex. ;)

Jgrimes....I know you asked this to Bob...but I just wanted to let you know that we stayed at Port Orleans Riverside this past Christmas...we loved it. We stayed in the mansion section and found it was just a short walk to the lobby, food court or bus stop. We found the Caribbean Beach Resort to be very spread out and I didn't like having to drive to the lobby when we wanted to check on our account balance.

If I had to chose between Caribbean Beach & Riverside....I would chose Riverside. I prefer the layout of the POR resort and just loved being able to take the boat to DTD.

Jgrimes....I have to agree with Elaine on this one. Port Orleans Riverside (Dixie Landings when we stayed there) was the first WDW resort we stayed at. We stayed in the Alligator Bayou section right next to the food court and main bus stop and absolutely loved our location and the entire resort. Carribean Beach Resort is too spread out for us too. The food court at POR is much much better than CBR. Given these two choices we'd pick POR everytime!:thumbsup2

They will not take it to dry dock early, no way. Did you read all the reports on this? Most of the reports of the engine trouble came from servers. I don't believe it. Many of the guests said that the current was very strong and Captain Tom tried 4 times to bring it in to CC. If they couldn't maneuver sideways, they wouldn't have been able to get in to St. Thomas or St. Martin either and would never have tried to get in to CC 4 times. Whether or not there were any issues with the engine, I believe people had some bad weather and are now looking for excuses and someone to blame. We've been on an Eastern before that ran a completely different course down to St. Martin because the seas were so bad and everyone was getting sick. It can happen on a cruise ship. I have also heard that the ships don't need to operate with all five engines running.

How'd you know? ::rolleyes: goodvibes
That was going to be my first question!

Hi Nezy, I forgot to tell you our information. Bill and I will be on the Magic before the cruise and heading straight home after. My sister's room will be wherever I can get them on property today (trying for BCV, but we'll see).

Port Orleans Riverside (a.k.a. Dixie Landings) was my First Resort on Disney property. I stayed along the "canal" in one of the mansions. The food court was great and taking the boat to Downtown Disney was the best. I loved the walk between Riverside + French Quarter (also very nice place). French Quarter is a smaller resort and walking is not quite as far as in POR. The theming in both resorts is incredible. During our last stay at WDW we noticed the pool at FQ was under construction.

I've never been to Carribean Beach so I can't compare the 2 resorts, only to say what I've experienced in POR was wonderful. :thumbsup2

Does that make your trip a Double-Double dip
or a Double Magic Double-Dip?

It makes Tracy and Bill.....VERY VERY VERY lucky....I think Tracy's slogan is 20 days of MAGIC to celebrate 40 years of life....wish we could be joining them!!!!!!
