Sounds like the midwest is getting hit pretty hard. Clear and cool here in WY wish the politicians left some of the hot air, LOL, So much for WY 15 min of fame.

Sore from drywalling yesterday, cieling is done on the north bedroom , hope to get the walls done today. Gotta get out for a run today.

The rain has finally stopped + the sun is shining. It felt strange to once again awake in the darkness. Losing an hour is always hard.

Peter, the french toast + bacon sounds YUMMY!!! :goodvibes

We signed up for the 5K in May. I know it's not much, but it's a start for us. We're looking forward to it. We may do Expedition Everest. We're not sure about TOT as they've removed the 6.5 K. Time will tell.

Happy Sunday Mates!

Expedition Everest Challenge sounds like fun, bad time for us.

Good morning.

Here in my neck of Virginia we've had just about no snow (maybe 2 inches earlier this winter--yes, that's all). I really feel for all of you who are having to shovel so much. I'm sure our schoolkids are mad about the lack of white stuff; they cancel school here if there's snow in the forecast! (I'm serious!) Too many potential lawsuits out there if the buses have an accident, I guess :confused3 .

Congrats to Wales!

Have their been any schedule updates to our sailing? I mean details like when is formal night, pirate night, etc? Also, does anyone know if we will get a character breakfast?

Nothing yet. I ask every time I call.

Got a 5K run in and it's lunch break time, got about 2/3eds of the drywall hung.

I agree for this trip the less is better. Too Short.

Oh I forgot to mention Sams Club has Margarittaville Frozen Concoction Makers. Scored one for the Adventures Club Bar, I bet it will make a mean Conch Cooler.

Back to work.

Good afternoon everyone.

We were up at 4:15 this morning to take Alex to meet his choir. They are off to Birmingham today for a competition in BBC choir of the year. Birmingham is 200 miles away and they had to leave this morning at 6:00am to get there on time.

When we got home we went back to bed to "finish" our sleep.:thumbsup2

David

Collected Alex - his choir won - they're now through to the finals for the BBC Radio3 Classical Choir of the year - they are up against 7 others for the best choir in the UK.

Four years ago they were 10th best in the world :worship: They haven't been able to compete since but they are returning to the International scene in July.

Everyone in his choir was very tired but nevertheless VERY excited.

One of my favorite places.
The first Disney property we ever stayed on.

Old Key West is THE favorite place. That's where we own.

Have you ever stayed at Port Orleans Riverside. We were wondering which would be the better choice.

We will be staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort the day before then home the day we come back in port.

We will drive down and stay in Savanah overnight on Sat and Sunday at Hampton at Cocoa beach and then back up to Savanah on Sat and home on Sunday. We have high school and junior high students who can't miss more than the 4 days they are missing for the cruise. This will be our first Disney cruise without a stay at WDW. We will be at WDW for a week in July though and for Thanksgiving 08 as well.

Jgrimes....I know you asked this to Bob...but I just wanted to let you know that we stayed at Port Orleans Riverside this past Christmas...we loved it. We stayed in the mansion section and found it was just a short walk to the lobby, food court or bus stop. We found the Caribbean Beach Resort to be very spread out and I didn't like having to drive to the lobby when we wanted to check on our account balance.

If I had to chose between Caribbean Beach & Riverside....I would chose Riverside. I prefer the layout of the POR resort and just loved being able to take the boat to DTD.

We stayed in POR for the first time Thanksgiving 2007. We liked it. The pool and island area was very nice. Our room was upstairs looking over a quiet pool and we liked it. We usually stay deluxe and this was our first moderate and we were happy with it. We never used the bus, we had our own car, but I have read that the buses can be crowded and take a long time.

I've heard that the food is better at POR. Does anyone have any opinions about the food? This is all new to us so we have a lot of questions. Thanks so much for the advice.

Good Evening Cruisers!! :wizard:

Just popping in to say hi! :wave2:

We'll be staying at the MouseHouse before and after the cruise... in fact I'll be staying at the MouseHouse pretty much forever now... :lmao: so when you're in Orlando, let me know and we can say HI! :rotfl:

How's everyone's weather? We got quite a bit of snow (for us) yesterday morning. Here's a picture of my son and his first snowman.

I hope this isn't too large!
