Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued

Wow busy night!

I have a busy day filled with much Work!
will get to All the cabin updates, Saturday, already added some.



Last night I was surfing the web and something brought me over to ticketmaster?

where I punched in Celine Dion, 3 tickets to her first stop of her tour here in Boston came up just 14 rows from the stage...

So I bought them, why cause my Mother wanted to go to the show she has never been to see Celine and has been pestering me to get tixs..
since the came out about a year ago!
She is very excited!


Call went like this
Hi mom it me Peter - I know who it is....
When Am i going to see you 2 - I still have Jenn's Bday present.
I don't know, why don't you get out your calendar!
Ok so the weekend of the first is out, I have to work, weekend of the 8 th is out, we have neighbor hood block party, with the bounce house and everything!
Ok how about August 12,2008..... you could fix us something good, Panic sets in!
Peter Peter Peter Am i going to Celine, I don't know are you free on the 12th?
YES!!!!
I will buy dinner she says! Any where you want!
Just tell me, is it going to happen --- it has to be you said it would!

I said hang on let me finish ordering the tickets and it will as I did not want to get them If mom was not able to go, for some reason!

She is very excited to be going to Celine with her Favorite son and DIL

Then she made a quick call to her Supervisor, who asked her to work that day and she said she could not because her son was taking her to Celine, so she thought!
super was like how did you get tickets I tried but it sold out...
she said her son takes care of that!

Super was very happy to get call, letting her know that tickets just 14 rows from the stage where for sale!

anything to keep mom Happy!

Ok off to bang some nails - cedar shingles today! kinda fun work...

If you have never seen Celine live, you are in for a treat. We saw her in Las Vegas and I believe it was the best show I have ever seen. Her CD's do not do her voice justice. Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on your point of view, we will be on this cruise when she is in Washington.

You aren't far from us either. We did a verandah room on our first cruise and deck 2 on the last - we prefer deck 2!

Take care of yourself!!! How frightening to faint! Don't know what I would do if I woke up and couldn't speak! I'm used to speaking all the time!

Seriously... do take care. We also have a stateroom should you need it to send the boxes. Send me a PM if you need to on this.

I just bought 75 more FE to put together this weekend.

We will be busy attending the viewing and funeral for David's mom. She passed away suddenly last weekend. He had just gotten back from a week's stay visiting her in the nursing home in NC, then he got the call at 5:00 am, and called us right away. I felt so badly. He now feels all alone. His sisters live in NC and NY, but visits to see the mom in NC brought everyone together. Joe will be a pall bearer. I worry for him having lost his dad a few months back. Life does go on. I know David will so appreciate going on the cruise in September with everyone!

You and David have our deepest sympathies. DH just lost his Dad and Step Dad 3 weeks apart a few months ago. It is a really tough thing to go thru.

CELINE!! Peter... WOW... Celine Dion! I REALLY wanted to see her on Vegas, but never made the trip. ENJOY!!!

THANKS!! Thanks for your thoughts to David. His sisters did make it up safely, but it was David who really held everything together. DH, Joe was a great support for David too. He was visiting with everyone thanking them for coming for David, and making sure they all realized how much their support meant. Joe really surprises me every day. He was soooo quiet when we first met, and here he was last night playing host for his best friend's mother's viewing. I'm so blessed to have him.

OUR FLIGHT!! Just signed on and see that Southwest has a lower flight out on Friday 08/29. We would save $40 per ticket, BUT would have to take more time off from work (don't know if we have it left to take). I'm going to check and hopefuly snag the lower price! Hey! A girl's gotta snag some onboard $ for souvenirs!!!

UPDATE!! I GOT THE REDUCED FARE!!! Will be coming in at 1:30 instead of 6:00!

Okay! A CRAZY question:

Does anyone know if they still sell those gadgets that seal up chip bags? I think they are powered by batteries. You slide them over the bag top and it seals it.

I found the greatest plastic bags for the FE gifts, but they're a bit long. If I can seal the other end and then cut the bag in half I can get 2 out of one. Now I've got to fins one of the sealers. I think it was a craze a while back, but haven't seen them lately.

If anyone knows, please do share! Thanks!

We have seen Celine in concert about 12 times + -, however 200 bucks for a ticket is alot of money!

We saw Celine before she was Huge, could barely speak any English!
at a small place in Boston, Berklee school of music, Jenn Has also dragged me to Montreal in 2000 NYE for her concert there..
So, we have been around the block with her.

But I am wondering why the Mass State Police, must give you a ticket for going 70 in a 55? on Rt.95 at mid night. in my pick up? $150.00 plus insurance surcharge, well there goes that really good driving record.. and the insurance discount. need to make a few phone CALLS!!!

Georgie, They were called Euro Seal, try walmart in hte as seen on TV section, some bags they would just melt.
