Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued - Part 3

Is there any chance that this storm could prevent the Magic from getting back to Port Canaveral on time?

I have my Bonine, but I think I might have to get some ginger pills. Do nausea pills like Phenergan help with seasickness?

We have used Ginger tablets before(from the Health food store) and you can get Ginger Ale on the ship, at dinner anyway. It always works best for us, and no sleepy feeling like dramamine.

Ginger definately helps.. I have a Ginger lip balm, that was made for pregnant women to deal with sickness. It tastes awful, but works.

AS for affecting us - i would assume that it would affect us more in the early part of the cruise rather than later.

.....
Elaine and Mom arrive today.... they must be bringing the Canadian sunshine..;)
What about the Buttertarts?

We cruised this time last year and I had this philosophy. (I hadn't really thought about it until today!) Prepare for pep talk! If we were cruising any other line than Disney, I would be more concerned! Everything inicates that we will board and be out of port before this thing hits the area IF that is the direction it goes. And it is too early to freak! It just made TS status at 2pm! It isn't 3 hours old yet!

This may be an adventure and it may not be the cruise we signed for, but people, it is Disney and it will be magical even if it is a cruise to nowhere. It is still better than being here! A great ship, terrific staff and wonderful friends, new and old! It doesn't get much better than that! So who's up for an adventure Disney style!!!??? Let's hope for the best, prepare for the worst and know we are going to have a fantastic time with Mickey and the gang!!

Hear! HEAR!

The Panama Canal cruise was awesome!!! You should definitely try to do it!

Listen to Janis.
A lot of us met on the first Panama cruise. It was a blast.
Made a bunch of neat friends.:thumbsup2

Ahhhh, the stories we could tell.

(sounds like a buffett song:goodvibes )

We use Meclazine and start taking it the day before we get on the ship. We have yet to get sea sick, even going through Hurricane Hilary on the west coast during the 2005 EB Panama Canal cruise.

We are not going to stress over the weather and will enjoy just being on the ship. But.... sunshine would be nice.

RE:weather, here in Wyoming we say Cowboy up and let 'er buck.

Cast my vote for Maryann!!!!

The Magic is coming through Gaton Locks!!!!

Thanks Ken for getting that , sorry we will miss the OKW meet but will be good to see ya on the ship.

12 hours at work today, well less vac time to use later this week.

OK, I'm stocking up on sea sickness meds. I knew it would be a mistake to book cabins in the front of the ship!
