Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued - Part 3

Bubble wrap here, please!! I have a great fear that one of my kids is going to get hurt b/f this cruise- our first and after the long wait for it to arrive.

Walking down our front steps yesterday, my 3 1/2 yr old daughter was waving to her neighbor friend, not paying any attention and completely went to walk off the steps, seemingly forgetting that the steps that have been there her whole life were there! I literally caught her by the arm as she was starting to fall! My son has his 1st football practice the day before we leave and I am just keeping my fingers crossed.

I am soooo not a neurotic parent, but I want to just keep them in the house with helmets and pads!

I gotta say, I like to work ahead, about a week, on these countdown numbers and when I started working on next weeks, I got really anxious. We booked this cruise so long ago and thought it would never get here, but now it is just

more sleeps until we sail. So hard to believe.

I am new to disboards but am learning. We are 2 families traveling on the double dip also and would be interested in the cabin tour and also the wine & cheese party. Is there a way to sign up before the cruise or do you have to wait until you arrive?

I've got a little tool kit packed - adhesive, paper trimmer, scissors, pen - anything else?

As for the scrapbook thing - i think a "tool kit" is a great idea, however, i am not checking my suitcase -- so i don't know if i can bring a trimmer on (i know scissors are most definately a no-no) ..

On the scrapbook supplies, if you have a small pair of scissors, or any particular thing you like working with, great, go ahead and bring. However, I will have everything you will need to complete your book, you will just need to share with others at the same table as you.

And yes, sleeveless is fine in the dining room, but I always take a sweater or fleece something or other because it is always cold in the dining room to me, same with the Walt Disney theater.

To answer your question, as far as I can tell, nhpgator is heading up the stateroom tours which are supposed to be at 12:30PM on the at sea day, followed by the Wine and Cheese party at 1:30PM hosted by winotracy. Not sure about a list for the stateroom tour, wine and cheese seems open to anyone, just bring a bottle of wine. See post 21 and post 227 on this thread for info. Any corrections are appreciated. Alex, the only other thing I would add is that you should PM , nhpgator / Natasha to let her know that he would like to attend,the tour..

and early or late dining?

I can add you to the roster, once added there you will be put on a couple other lists, and be able to attend the wine and cheese party hosted by Winotracy in MY room (Tracy is gone i can now say that!)

Ok, I guess it only half my room LOL
