Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued - Part 3

Good evening fellow cruisers! :wizard:
Well, the MouseHouse is battened down for Fay. As best as I can do without my DH here. Hopefully it won't be too bad.

Georgie, glad to hear MouseBeach is taken care of.. I was going to call you and see if there is anything I can do. If so, let me know. We've had one feeder band come thru already earlier.. They've closed the schools for tomorrow and they only opened today!!

I am not looking forward to the storm. My male Golden Woody freaks out when there is any electrical activity involved. Strange.. he knows he difference between storms and fireworks, the nightly Wishes from the MK don't bother him a bit. Tink could care less as long as I'm throwing the tennis ball.

T&B.. have a great time :wizard: wishing you fair weather and calm seas.

 TWO MORE WEEKS!!!! Yahhhhhh hooooooo !

Leslie...glad to hear that you've battened down the hatches...

Poor Woody....Mom and I were thinking of him when we heard about the storm....

Tell Tink...one more week and she'll have an extra set of hands to throw her ball...along with special treats!!!!!!

News from the Jersey side of Mouse Beach... DH is sick. He is never sick. He never refuses food, but came home and said I don't really think I should eat anything.

He is now in bed. I gave him a little something, but... nope... He's sick.

Better now than next week. I will keep him in good care.

Leslie... hope Fay isn't too bad. You've seen enough H2O for quite some time!

It looks like for our cruise we are in relatively good shape. This is an unusual forecast for mid-September in Florida and the carribean.

Reference the following link:

http://www.cpc.noaa.gov/products/predictions/814day/index.php

This is the longest term official forecast, through 9/1.

If you look closely at the precipitation map it shows a swath of above normal precipitation for the period 8 to 14 days from now. The precipitation is likely to fall along a stalled front in the southeast states.

Hurricanes typically form along stalled fronts, but most often in the Gulf of Mexico. Hurricanes that form off the east coast in these circumstances often affect Bermuda and points east.

Hurricanes which form south of a stalled front typically are weak, and get caught up in westerly flow, driving the storms harmlessly into the atlantic.

September 1st marks the peak of Atlantic hurricane season. I'll send an update each day with better accuracy as we move forward.

Bottom line, our cruise is likely to have some rain...warm rain. We aren't likely to have a hurricane...

Stay tuned, things may change. But at first glance, the news is not bad.

Oh Georgie....tell Joe we hope he feels better soon...and he needs to follow Nurse Georgie's orders because we need him in A-1 shape next week!!!!

Leslie, take care and be safe. We are all set here as well.

Elaine, are you making homemade doggie treats again???
Don't forget to save a few for Belle.

Pixie dust headed Joe's way! I guess, better sick now than on the ship!

Hey Peter....if you're talking to Tracy...tell her to tell the Magic staff that they better have a lot of shrimp onboard for our embarkation lunch.....or Leslie and RWeThereYet are going to be very, very upset!!!!!!

Linda...thanks for posting a picture of Jamie...she's beautiful...for some reason I thought she was a lot younger....I don't know why.

Thanks! She was a lot younger back in 2005 when we first met! HAHA

She start her junior year of high school this coming Monday, but has been at school nearly every morning at 6 a.m. for drill team. They take very little time off. The mother/daughter trips aren't as easy to take any more.

Georgie, Ron came home from work sick, too. He isn't able to eat either and has a headache, fever and chills. You and I better take our Airborne.

Leslie, hope you stay as dry as possible.
