Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued - Part 3

We are at WDW for Race for the Taste and DH quite fancies the 10K. He does not really enjoy going to the parks and won't have a ticket. Does anybody know if admission to Epcot for the purpose of participating in the race is included in the registration fee or will he need to purchase a separate ticket?

I just got back from taking my pictures to the photo lab to get developed (they'll be ready tomorow) and I thought while I was at the mall I'd stop into the liqour store to compare prices of the Cruzan Rum we got in St. Croix....and now I'm totally depressed....the LCBO in Canada doesn't stock Cruzan Rum now I'm going to have to ration my supply of Black Cherry Cruzan Rum...hey wait....Who wants to go on another cruise to St. Croix???????????????

(BTW....here's how prices of Grey Goose Vodka compare here in Canada...in St. Thomas 4 bottles were $100....here in Canada...$45 CDN per bottle!!!!)

We're cruising to St Croix in November. Did you rent a car? Not sure how I'd get the rum to you, if we brought some back, but it might be worth chatting about.

I think they are more excited about the upcoming cruise than me!

The granddaughter wants to collect everything and do a scrapbook.
They're everywhere!

Lindababe.....November?! I think that maybe she was looking for something sooner.
I can just see M&JN trying to smuggle Black Cherry Rum across the border past the mounties.

OBTW Kid, they do have it here. Probably not as cheap as in St Croix.

Bob...be sure to get the scrapbook supplies early on the cruise....some of the albums and scrapbook kits were sold out by the middle of the week.....also..the luggage tags on the last night look KEWL in a scrapbook

Good Evening Folks!

I have been MIA since last Tuesday. On Wednesday, I spent the day in meetings in Denver and Greeley. Word came down that we needed to get out and start “canvassing”, so, instead of getting to spend time preparing for the class I have to teach next week, I spent Thurs and Fri “address canvassing” in Cheyenne. I did put in about 3-4 miles each day! Between that and dealing with the 2 crew I am currently supervising (until my class – then I will have 15 to supervise!), I did not have much time for anything – the dogs did not even get walked – until today.

Beautiful day here – watered the trees and shrubs – I am sure the nice weather will not stay, we will probably get more snow shortly – just not in the forecast for the next week

Georgie - glad to hear they found your camera! We will be at TOT, doing the 13K! You have enough time to train for the 13K, I walk all the races!

Bob, no Disney or cruises for us in the near future, but we are going to Key West next month . Since the last time we were there was 15 years ago and only for a few hours while waiting to catch our flight, I was hoping you could make some recommendations for us.

What do you want to know.
Food? Drink? Place to stay?

The last time we stayed in a Bed and Breakfast that Webray found.
Great place. It was called the Cypress House. Close to all the good places.
We have also stayed at the Coconut Beach resort on the south side.

Lots of great places to eat in Key West.
B O Fishwagon is good during the day. Pepe's is good anytime.
Red Fish, Blue Fish is fun. That is where we had the fried macaroni and cheeseball.
As much as I hate to say it, Margaritaville is not one. Good margaritas though.

All the bars are good to drink.
Some are more loud than others.
Some are a little more off-beat.
Captain Tony's is my fav. Mainly for the atmosphere. Sloppy Joe's also.

Any other questions, just ask away.

Joe surprised me at work with a gift from the Magic! I found out later that he had some elves keep me busy while he made the purchase. SNEAKY, sneaky!

2011 will be the year for celebration of 15 years. Will have to do something special... Hmmmm, maybe a cruise on DISNEY'S NEW SHIP!!!

it is a 500 million dollar project, there should be plenty in there for me...
