Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued - Part 3

Good Morning All.
Life is good here. Cool and :sunny: this morning.

I guess there was a call to all shrimpboats in the caribbean yesterday.
The Disney Magic was totally out of shrimp already during the embarkation.:lmao:

O.K., I have no knowledge the story is false. Therefore, I am absent malice.

Elaine have a great time .... I think Bob is next!!!! :goodvibes
You are correct Sir!
20 days until we sail away.
In 3 weeks I will be back in Key West.:goodvibes :cool1:

Great news on the job Lynn.

Later kiddies. :wave2:

I have not been on the boards since last Friday, we had a busy weekend, then I was in training for the Census job, and was gone 8 to 10 hours a day, with 2 hours of homework when I got home. Training finished today, I was promoted to Crew Leader (from Crew Leader Assistant), which means that I get to train a team of about 12 people, and get to supervise them - what fun! I will be spending the next week cramming with books on the training and the address canvassing itself - so that I will be able to answer any questions from my crew.

Weather has been really nice here, but I have not had the chance to really enjoy it, I only got out for a bit on my lunch breaks.

Have a great evening everyone!

Good Morning Kiddies.
Great morning here. Supposed to rain later. Sigh.

Welcome back Georgie and crew.
Hope you had a great trip.
Betcha wish you would have been home for that ONE FOOT PLUS snow that Jersey got.:lmao:

We head out in 2 weeks. Time seems to be dragging.
No packing done yet, but I think everything else is all set.

Lynn....a promotion already! Congrats.

Time to head out and enjoy the nice weather while it last.
Later.

What a nice warm day in Jersey. Snow's just about gone, car is washed, even got around to cleaning up that mess of wires in the TV rack.

Hmm now what to do next???

Have great weekend everybody and Welcome back Georgie

Doing Taxes this morn...... National Debt soon to be paid off....

Cool and Cloudy this morn....

It has been snowing, are really wet snow so it should not blow away, but it is warm enough that it might just melt here soon! At least is providing some moisture to the trees and grass!

Lynn, My Fil may have done a job like this?

is it scheduled to end after a period of time ?

when you get done going from house to house or something like that?
:goodvibes

Just printed out passport renewals, you can get the Passport book and the passport card, save $20 on getting both, so $95 per person for renewal for both.

I figure the card will be handy to have on FL visits just incase we get a last min deal on a cruise.....

Peter I will let Lynn answer, but that is what it sounds like to me. Oh boy more money to pay more taxes on LOL

Hi Everyone! Joe and I flew back this morning... a 6:35 am flight after losing an hour whew! They had set up for the Princess half marathon with cones everywhere. princess:

The Magic is still as MAGICAL as ever! We all had a wonderful time sailing together. And... what happened on the Magic will stay on the Magic! :rolleyes1 Joe and I had a great Room Steward, Clifford, and great Dining Room servers (who will NEVER be the same after our table of 6 were through with them. LOL! :rotfl2:)

Interesting Note: On our final evening, one Room Steward saw Joe from down the hall, pointed his finger and said, "Panama! Four years ago." At first Joe thought. "Who is this?" Then he realized it was our PC steward! The one who drew pictures on our white board! :cloud9: How he recognized Joe from a distance, we'll never know! What a small world... and life-changing memories!

Bryan! You guys had snow while we were away! We even heard that our State office was closed! We're glad we were on the Magic instead. :wizard:

Bob! You will have a terrific crusie! Yes... your story about the shrimp is TRUE! :lmao: Leslie and I made quite a dent on it!

Scott + Lynn, we'll see you at Bay Lake! :thumbsup2

Lynn! Congrats on your job and promotion!

Welcome home Georgie/Joe, Leslie/Joe, Elaine and Margaret.

Scott..we are helping you with the national debt buddy...ugh.

Congrats on the new job Lynn!

Things good here, sunny and should be low 80's all week. (no snow..lol)

:goodvibes

Peter - Yes, the job only goes until the middle or end of May. But another assignment may come after this one is over.

We just received our custom maps from WDW! :yay: They are really nicely done. Even if you know WDW "by heart" I would encourage you to go onto WDW website and sign up for them. :goodvibes Each of the 4 parks are included as well as a separate map containing all of the WDW resorts. :wizard: They take about 4 weeks to get once you've ordered them. You can choose which attractions to label. I just said all.

Note to scrapbookers... these would be great in a larger book. :thumbsup2

Joe and I are going through MAGIC withdrawal! :rotfl2:

Mom and I arrived home early this afternoon......we too had an early morning flight (not as early as Georgie & Joe)...Magical Express picked us up at 4:45 am and we had the whole bus to ourselves to the airport....everything went smoothly until we arrived in Buffalo to FREEZING cold temperatures and light snow :scared1: I got quite a few stares when we stopped at the grocery store on the drive home from the airport...I have no idea why...doesn't everyone wear capri's when it's -20º and lightly snowing out? :confused3

We had a great cruise.....Bob dinner wasn't the same without you.....and Lee, and Scott & Lynn, and Cheryl & Bob, and Tracy & Bill, and Janis & Ron, and Peter & Jenn....and all our Panama gang....

FYI Bob...found out Brent is leaving the Magic on March 14...I think he said Christian is taking over.

...and Georgie is right about our servers....they never will be same after we were through with them!!!!!

Okay...gotta unpack and then catch up on my Dis....I'm goign through withdrawal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome back Georgie, Joe, Margaret, Elaine, Leslie and Joe!!! Wish we could have been with you.

Glad you made it home safely Elaine! :thumbsup2 It's hard to adjust to being back!!! We miss everyone already!

Janis, we must tell you we saw a Cheeseburger in Paradise on St. Croix. I should have gone in to get a menu!!! Joe stopped in the parking lot so we could get a picture too! Darn! I knew there was something I should have done.

BUT... I left my camera in our rental van (sigh!) So... I don't have a picture of the place. Elaine and Leslie are sharing their pics with me, so between them, I'm sure well have a picture of it. :wizard:

Thanks for the welcome back everyone! Yes, it would have been fun if we were all together. Our waiters never would have believed it with everyone there. The 6 of us were enough for them!

Welcome back all! Glad to hear you had a good time. Georgie, can you get ahold of the rental car company and see if they have your camera?

Leslie has called twice and I've written them via e-mail. Joe and I are still hoping for pixie dust! :wizard:

We took the DVC plunge and added on points at Bay Lake. :woohoo: Now we will have enough to do an Adventure by Disney (if we bank, borrow, etc...). We are looking forward to trying it out, as well as the Tree House Villas... someday. :goodvibes

Bob, what is your countdown? You must be sooo excited! :yay:

Georgie, we are doing Adventures by Disney to Peru, the adult trip leaving Sept. 22, come join us!!!!

Wow. Georgie, too bad you didn't go in. That place is supposed to be really neat. Best cheeseburgers on the island.

Welcome back.
