HI EVERYONE

I can't believe how long this thread is already and the cruise is still over 10 months away. I just booked this cruise today and I can't wait! My name is Kim(38) and I'm from Western Massachusetts. I will be in Cat 9 room 2100 and have late dinner seating. This is a solo cruise for me so I am really excited to meet everyone and would absolutely love to link dinner ressies with other fellow disers. It sounds like you all have some fun things planned already. Stateroom tour sounds like fun and the wine and cheese party sounds awesome. Now if I can just catch up on all the posts on this thread.

Looking forward to more posting, counting down and meeting as many of you as I can on board.

My DIS family is the best. Thanks for thinking about us. Tim, the kids and I are fine. As of now, our home is safe.

The community where DH works is still under a mandatory evacuation order so he has been home. He was needed there today for a little while and is happy to report that the damage is not as bad as anticipated.

The kids have the entire week off school. They are mostly homebound due to the very poor air quality. Our home has been the hangout for the last few days, but they each ventured out to a friend's house today.

I have been working non-stop. So many of the staff at work have been forced to flee their homes and unable to make it in. Tomorrow makes day 6, but I should have Saturday off. I am physically and emotionally exhausted.

We will celebrate Tim's birthday tomorrow with the knowledge that people from all over are sending good thoughts and prayers. There are so many here that need them.


I am behind on sending good wishes to those who need them and welcoming all of our new cruisers, so I will do that right now.

Yep, Elaine, Tracy is correct the race is Sat night, Looking forward to seeing Georgie and Clesete and Cheryl and Bob, and the list goes on.

Just done with a fast 3 miles this morning.

WIll meet up with my BIL and one of the nephews this morning at AK, they are here for a band think with Disney. Will be good to see them.

Now I better change the count down banner to the Jan Trip.

We're glad to hear you are okay. I wasn't sure what part of San Diego you live. My mom is in Clairemont and they've been spared from the flames, but the air quaility is bad. It's been reported that more than 30% of San Diego County has been burned. San Diego County is very large - Can that be correct? If so that just boggles my mind.

I heard that the winds should be letting up so that should help the firefighters to get the flames under control and contained. Continued prayers for your community.

Peter-thanks for the link to the roster, i must have missed that page-being that is was dated FEB. 22! I did not even know about this cruise back then!
It seems that we are going to take up a dood portion of the ship!

BTW-DH's name is Bob if you plan to update the roster at anytime.

I have been MIA lately, due to me and dd having nasty colds that is messing up my whole schedule.. LOL Plus we are getting closer to our trip to WDW..

I also just signed up to do the Minnie 5k race in May at WDW.. this will be my first!

Almost one year ago....

Today in South Central Wisconsin...

Doing a newsletter made more sense for a cruise where we were going to new and different locations. We're going to Nassau...What else can we say about that??? We're going to Castaway Cay...What more needs to be said?

I'd offer to do something, but in less than 2 months I'll be hitting my busy season (which is scary when I realize I worked 16 hours yesterday ).

I'll do a newsletter for then next cruise that is 16 days or more, ok?

Oh, I am going to make your lime ones while the family is all here for our early Thanksgiving. The girls will love them.

I have to agree...a newsletter for this short cruise..a lot of work for places the majority of us are pretty familiar with.
