Good Morning All. :wave2:
Kinda a cold and snowy here in the heartland. Good day to stay in and...:surfweb:
and think about cruising.
Saw this article yesterday. Wonder if this could be an excursion when the Magic stops at Nassau?

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Just got a chance to look at this article - AWESOME! I'd love to hit something like this. I hope DCL does something like this. Last year they only had a beach party (no pools allowed) or visit the aquarium (again no pool allowed). Maybe we can all get a dayroom or two (or three...) with passes!

That looks like it could be fun. Maybe I'd do something else at Atlantis besides my usual visit to the slot machines.

Me too! Karen where are you in Williamsburg? I live there too!:goodvibes

Hi neighbor! I'm off Richmond Road (behind the Ethan Allen store). I work at Target (part time pharmacist). Where are you, Kristen?

I live in Springhill right by Target! I was just at the pharmacy!:upsidedow

Hi everyone! It's a beautiful day here today! No snow falling :rotfl:

Hope everyone had a great weekend. My niece was in the state hockey championship game on Saturday and her team won! I think it's very different watching women's hockey than men's hockey. It was a good game!

CONGRATS to your niece!!! State Hockey Champs! WOW!!! That's great.

Glad there is no snow falling!!!

Brandon (our nephew) lost his final Basketball game on Saturday, but they were still the Champs with the best overall record!:cool1: He was disappointed, but was glad we were all there to see the game.

Popping in to say hello. Can't stay, I have my first pair of bi focals on and I can't decide what I'm going to do first...yak or fall down.
:crazy2:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I hope you get used to them soon!:)

Thanks. I feel like this...

Hi everyone! We're back from our 7 night Eastern, which was great, and we did end up rebooking onboard for this cruise!! We were looking at Cat 3s, but ended up splurging and booking Cat 2, 8016! We're soooo excited about the room and the cruise and I can't believe there's over 17 months to go.

I have about 100 pages to catch up on since we left so I better get cracking!

Oh, and Karen and dvcnewgirl, I'm not too far from you guys-we're in DC.

Woo hoo!!!! Glad you had a great cruise!

Were's Lacy? We need her to see about getting you on the cabin tour -- that is if you are willing to share? On this sailing we'll have DISers in categories 1, 2 and 3! :cool1: :cool1:

Welcome back! I hope you had a great cruise! How old was you little one on this cruise? If I remember right you have a baby. Any tips for my May cruise? Are we at 17 months now?WOOHOO!:lmao:

:woohoo: In case anyone was interested in a SPH stateroom, we just cancelled our TWO Secret Porthole Staterooms 5024 and 5022 (connecting) and booked a cat. 3 for this cruise. Have a MAGICal day everyone!

:tinker: Jennifer

Sure, we'll be in on the stateroom tour! I tried to get a look at the room when we were disembarking, but the door was shut and the stateroom attendant was not in sight.

Henry was 6 months on the cruise and he did really well. Both kids went to Flounder's Reef 4 times and liked it. Madison was 2 days shy of her 3rd birthday so she was eligible for a trial in the Club. She did the trial and failed so the Reef it was! Honestly, she liked the Club a lot, but the way they did the observation was to have me 'disappear' without telling her I was leaving, so she turned around and I was gone and she freaked out and just started crying "Mommy!" until she found me. They said we could try again, but she was terrified of being alone in the Club after that so we gave up. We took her to the activities she wanted to attend, but we had to stay with her as "visitors".

My only complaint was about the set up of the room, hence why we are going much bigger on this cruise. We were in a midship Cat 3 when our daughter was 3 months old and loved it, but we didn't want to spend that kind of money on our 7 night Eastern and ended up kinda sorry that we didn't. The big problem I think is just that my son is a very fussy sleeper. He sleeps well in that he goes to bed at 6:30pm, but he does not like light or noise. Well the only place to put the pack n play was next to the couch/verandah door. Well the tv is in that half of the room too. So it meant that once he went to bed we were trapped with nothing to do.

What ended up happening was that we'd just stick him in the stroller and take him wherever we wanted to go on the ship, but then it meant he woke up a lot, got grouchy, etc. The nights we had him in Flounder's he'd sleep there without a problem but would sorta wake up when we'd pick him up. So if you have a sensitive sleeper then I'd try to think of a way to shield the pack n play from the light of the tv.

And Flounder's had pretty decent daytime hours and they list excursions you can do that are compatible with Flounder's times. I brought home the sheet but even though we've been back a week I haven't found it yet, but when I do I'll let you know what the general port hours were. They were also really empty our whole cruise so we could pretty much drop them off anytime we wanted without a problem. Hopefully next September will be like that too, though I have a feeling it won't based on the dates.

:thumbsup2 Your story made me feel even better about changing our reservation to a cat. 3. I have a goal to have DS1 (August baby) potty-trained by our September 2008 cruise. So, he can go and have fun in the Oceaneer's Club with DD4. DS6 will be in the Oceaneer's Lab all the time by then. I know you should never wish time away, but we can't wait for this cruise!:hourglass
