Hi DD12 has an itouch that she uses cheap speakers to play music . Music gets staticey if played too loud on the cheap speakers. Any EXACT recommendation for a speaker set that is good to use with itouch/iphone? thanks! Plays NICE quality music?
With no budget to worry about the Sonos Play3 or Play5 are amazing. You do need to be in a wireless network though. I tried the 3, and am going to upgrade to more pieces this Christmas. Here is the site: http://www.sonos.com/search/sonos?gclid=COjSgYju6qwCFcHd4Aod3iWlMw . You can also get them at BestBuy, Target etc.
Although I don't own it, the new Bose sound link is a great sounding unit. It is bluetooth, so you can bring it anywhere. It run on l-ion battery. A friend of mine got one to bring out on the deck, and around the house. It is pricey, but not terribly, for a Bose product.
The one I have is the IP90 and our daughter owns the IP43. We bought my IP90 on sale at best buy for I believe $60 and our daughters was on clearance a couple of years ago at Toys R Us for $40. They both normally run $100, but you can find sales on them. Another thing I would be interested in hearing but haven't yet is the new portable speakers by Ihome. They retail for $50, but since I haven't been in the market to buy them I am unsure if there has been any sales on them. Like the other poster, I absolutely love Bose but it wasn't in the budget for us so this has to do
Just one more side note. If you do look at any of the Ihome products, make sure that it works with what you need it to. For example, mine works with Iphone and Ipod, but my daughters is Ipod only.
Thanks guys! OP here. Well the BOSE was very nice but for 12.5 years old for her room - 300 was a little steep. I saw it at Best buy and a nice guy there helped me pick out one for 110 (but price matched amazon at 91!) so bonus! I did end up with the ihome PS something 37? 41? I don't remember!! But the good news was it was in stock and got great reviews on line! I did like the higher end ones that allowed you to play iwth your itouch (games etc) and the wi fi picked up the tunes so it didn't need to be docked. That was cool. This does not have that feature - they were 200 and up. Thanks for the tip on being compatible with the itouch. I did doublecheck that. thanks!
