Thanks for that information!! We have been wanting to see a launch and were planning to go there on July 2nd..now we'll switch to July 1st. I saw the shuttle taking off right before the Luau started..everyone ran to the opening. It was pretty neat. Poor DH and DD had to go to the bathroom and totally missed it. He'll be happy to hear about the launch. How much are the tickets and do you have to do the whole tour thing, too?

You don't need to purchase tickets for viewing. I think there are several places to view the launch that are free. Just do a google of shuttle launch viewing sites.

I've never been to a shuttle launch. We are going to try and see the next launch in late August. We are planning on staying at WDW for 1 week but the launch window over 2 weeks long. Hopefully we will get a chance to see it.
