It's my understanding that Space Mountain has two tracks, similar in theory to the Matterhorn at DL.

Which track is better/faster?

Coming in July to see for myself.

They're mirror images of each other. They're almost identical and have only 10ft difference in length.

Last time i was there i did notice a difference. I'm almost positive that i thought the left was better.

They are identical except for a 10 foot crossover.

::MickeyMo Me too! DBF and I always head to the left if we have the option. We also prefer the back of the car. More pull on it and it's harder to see the track.

The coolest thing happened! We were on it when all of a sudden all the lights came on! I took a quick picture, as I'm sure I'll never see that again. It was quite messy. Lots of stuff on the floor! ::MinnieMo

This is the truth, believe no others!!! There is are common myths that they are very different or one is faster than the other.

But in the left line while you are waiting cant you see the chocolate chip cookie asteroid?

I love Space Mt! We've never thought one side was better than the other BUT we notice the ride is faster/rougher later at night. I think as the day goes on, the tracks/grease on the tracks heats up and the ride is faster and really whips you around. We can notice a difference going on it in the morning/afternoon versus at midnight.

I would have bet a paycheck that each track was different, oh well I lost that paycheck :teeth:

anyway I like the left side

the left side seems a little longer and faster than the right side, but you can wave to the people waiting in line on the right!

I like the Left better also. I think it is darker than the right, so that even if the tracks are mirror images, it seems faster/wilder due to that darkness factor. That's just my theory- but it works for me! The Left is more fun, no matter how it got that way.

We did both in one night and felt the right was jerkier or something....we agree with the majority...left is better somehow.

All three riders in my group agreed the left was more thrilling! I got "butterflies" on the left - never on the right.

The left! For some reason, the left seems more fun. The right seems tamer, oddly enough.
