Place my hands on her shoulders!! My hands are hanging on for dear life!! I am not the best w/ rollar coasters and only ride bc DS9 and 10 love to ride. So how I feel better w/ a white knuckle grip! I literaly squish the life out of her on BTMRR. I have nightmares of her flying out of her seat on the ride! I finally feel confident w/ both DS to ride on their own. I guess I am a bit of a nut!

That is so sweet! It does sound like the cars are the same from the last few years - so you will have 2 seats together - as well as 2 cars together - she wont fly out...

YEARS ago the cars were made so the first person sat down, feet stretched, and the next person sat in your lap - I believe they just had lap belts at that time... all I know is I granted DS wish and rode it with him at night - he was in 4th grade - and I was pregnant!! (I had asked the doctor before hand - he was a Disney nut too - but today - no way would I attempt this pregnant - but its a memorable time for sure!)

so it was easy to hang on for dear life, as well as your child!!

It's not going to be the original. It's going to be the same track with updated asthetics.

Yeah... that's pretty much the argument I've been making. Same track, same vehicles, updated aesthetics. It's still the same ride... and no, you DO NOT know enough about what's actually been done to make a blanket statement that it's lost too much of the original without riding it. (if anything I'm inclined to think that updated aesthetics will RESTORE the feeling of the ride - a sense of futuristic wonder instead of feeling antiquated, as has been the direction for years).

I feel like we're arguing in circles here. So that's my last word on the subject to you.

If they were going to shut the place down, I really dont care about the improvements to the queue line or the way it looks outside....what about the inside love? Waste of a refurb.

Rumors are around town that its going to open around the 20th of November

I have a coworker who's spouse is a CM. This CM has a supervisory role and handles training also.

I was specifically told that all that is holding the opening is the OSHA certificate. It was supposed to be done last week but wasn't, and they are expecting it to be completed this week. As a result, there is a soft opening planned for this weekend. They, noncoincidentally, are planning on spending some days there this weekend.

The CM told the spouse that the floors of SM were filthy.. and that there had been a crack in the ceiling too that leaked, contributing to the grime.

I trust the person, so if its true, those there this week, SHOULD go over and check it out.

The spouse stated teh CM had already ridden it during testing, but the biggest change, obviously was the que line.
