Any rumors(or facts) as to what is actually going on with the rehab of space mountain?

What we have been told is that the rollercoaster is being replaced with the same design as what is in Disneylands Space Mountain. They are also putting more lighting in the building and replacing the holding areas for the queue lines.
im surprised at the lack of coverage of this! I saw a couple of photos several weeks ago but none since.![]()
... My husband who is 6ft 4in, and was riding for his first time, in front of me, squished down really low. He was afraid of banging his head on a tunnel...
it took 3 days to replace the track. its the SAME LAYOUT AS WHAT IT ORGINALLY WAS. no DL bullcrap.
they put a ceiling over the area where you could see the attraction. giving more light to the queue/load area.
everything else like, the queue lines and the load area is gone, waiting to be redone.
Putting the same junk in what certainly be a large waste of money.
Where did you get this information? Hopefully it's not true, putting the same system back in would be ridiculous. It's own technology and wasn't really that good when it was put in. Putting the same junk in what certainly be a large waste of money.
You cant re-track a coaster, let alone two, in three days!
Load the track into the structure, probably, but re-track, I doubt it.
Remember, space mountain is it supposed to be futuristic and there is certainly nothing futuristic about what is there now! Even when it was first installed it wasn't really state of the art in ride technology or special effects. It was a great ride but didn't really take you into space. Hopefully the replacement will take Disney into the future instead of back 40 years! Hopefully the new ride will be a demonstration of the best technology available.junk huh? you have no respect for disney and space mountain
